Eternity (2014)

The idea for My Soul comes from the will of putting together as much as I can of the music that I love. So I blend together Swing, Jazz, Soul, Funk, Reggae, Hip Hop, and "black music" in general.
In this complex mix of sound, nothig it's there by chance: I selected some of the songs that marked my musical researches of those years and I tried to put it together in accordance with the rythm and the content. 
This is the first volume of this project.

My soul è un mixtape che nasce dall’idea di mettere insieme la musica che ascolto e che amo, mescolando Swing, Jazz, Soul, Funky, Reggae, Hip Hop ed altro sotto un unico comune denominatore, ovvero quella scia solitamente chiamata ‘Black Music’ e che si sviluppa dagli anni ’20 fino ai nostri giorni. 
In questo marasma di suoni tutte le tracce hanno un loro perché, e nulla è stato inserito a caso. Ho selezionato alcuni dei pezzi che hanno segnato il mio cammino musicale negli ultimi anni, sia per ritmo che per contenuti, ho deciso di metterli insieme in un mixtape e l’ho chiamato My Soul.

My Soul (2013)

More than 50 years have passed since the beginning of a musical cultural movement that from Jamaica has spread all around the world making millions of people falling in love with his sound: the reggae. 
Nervertheless, "reggae music" does not represent a unique style of sound but rather a group of different genres which are part of the same big family but at the same time they all have their own peculiar traits. 
This mixtape brings you back to some of the origins of this music, such as roots, roksteady and ska.

Last chapter of the project “My Soul”, an idea that came from the desire of bringing together some of the most markable traits of me and the music that I love.
Rather than a mixtape, I prefer to consider it as the intent to create a musical journey throughout the collection of my personal experiences.

My Soul Vol.3

Eduardo began his dj experience back in the 2004 when he started to collect vinyls and play at the dancehall parties in Catania and in Sicily with his friends and first crew, Mighty Lion Sound. He grow up within the reggae and hip hop scene of his city, so collecting and sharing various musical experiences with local and national artists of this two main genres. 
From 2013 he is part of Etna Rebel Sounds, a bigger crew of djs that plays and organises events in Sicily. He was also a dj resident in "La Chiave nera" and "La Cartiera", two of the main clubs of Catania's downtown. 
In 2015 he moved to Bologna where he still continues his activity.
Throughout all these years he got the chance to participate to many events and festivals, sharing the scene with various national artists such as: Inoki, Clementino, Stokka e Madbuddy, Fritz da Cat, Mirko Miro, Brusco, Fido Guido, Madkid, Macro Marco, Real Rockers, Gente de Borgata, Ira, Catania Faya, Signor K, L’Elfo, and many more. 
Nowadays his sets are a kaleidoscopic mix of sounds which include soul, funk, hip hop, r'n'b, dancehall, reggae, rocksteady, ska and other kinds of music.
