Celebrating ten years of their legendary debut album ‘Empire’, Super8 & Tab present an exclusive collection of remixes on ‘Empire 10 pt. 2’.

Miika Eloranta and Janne Manserus, aka Super8 & Tab, have been part of our family for over 15 years. They began collaborating on music in 2005, and the magic was instant. The likes of ‘Black Is The New Yellow’, ‘Helsinki Scorchin’ and ‘Irufushi’ have stood the test of time.

They have remixed Above & Beyond’s Tranquility Base classic ‘Oceanic’, and most recently delivered a mix for the 20 Years of Anjunabeats compilation series. 

A sought-after remix from Anjunabeats Volume 15, Marsh takes on ‘Irufushi’. One of Anjunadeep’s brightest stars, he released his album ‘Lailonie’ on the label in November 2020 and played two sensational sets across Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 450 celebration weekend in London. 

Rodg and SØNIN also appear on the package. Both producers have collaborated with Miika and Janne in the past. Rodg adds his own spin to ‘Slow To Learn’, while SØNIN takes on ‘Mercy’ feat. Jan Burton.

Nifra and Zack Evans’ remixes of ‘Eternal Sequence’ and ‘My Enemy’ complete the EP. Based in Slovakia, Nifra is a key name on Markus Schulz’s Coldharbour Recordings and hosts her own monthly radio show, ‘Rebel Radio’. 

U.S.-based trance DJ Zack Evans has made a name for himself with a consistent run of releases on Enhanced Music and Super8 & Tab’s own Scorchin’ Records.

‘Erased Dreams’, the first full-length, low-tempo project from Helsinki based artist Yotto.

Aptly regarded as a man of many sounds by Billboard, Yotto’s ‘Erased Dreams’ also marks Reflections’ debut LP release; an 8 track ambient journey, revealing a new side to one of Anjuna’s most illustrious producers. Well-known for his thunderous DJ sets and deep, bass-heavy house productions, ‘Erased Dreams’ may seem like a departure from Yotto’s usual style, but he’s always made music like this. With Reflections, he finally found a home for it.

Throughout his sparkling career, which includes a Billboard #1 LP and remixes of tracks by Joris Voorn, Gorillaz and Coldplay, Yotto has produced ambient music to help him look inward and re-charge his creative battery. But when COVID hit, his inner world took over. “At first, I was being really productive with club music. But then after a while I started making something completely opposite.” Yotto found himself exploring a different form of expression, with no plan other than to create. But when he put the tracks side-by-side in a playlist he recognised a synergy, and the outline of the project began to take shape. The result is more of a continuous soundscape than an album; an ethereal and dreamy experience designed to accompany the listener as they turn inward and drift away. If club music is a form of escape, then this is too – but instead of turning outward, we lose ourselves inward.

The first single is ‘Silhouette’. It’s a melancholy, atmospheric track with hints of ’80s nostalgia and smooth as glass vocals from Sansa. The track conjures up images of vast and endless landscapes; the sense of space enhanced by sparse chord-changes and field recordings of heavy rain. ‘Silhouette’ is so human it feels like an extension of an emotion, and Yotto says the idea came to him like a dream. A sound drifted towards him one day and he caught it by the tail and built on top of it until it became the entity he envisioned. ’It’s slow and steady and it grows. I think the beauty lies in the simplicity of it.”

Club music will always be at the core of Yotto’s work, but his ambient catalogue will no longer sit in the shadows. Together, these parallel forms of expression don’t dilute Yotto’s artistry; they make it even stronger.

Scandinavian production duo anamē release ‘Bermondsey Bender’, the fourth single from their upcoming debut album on Anjunabeats.

Marcus Schössow and Thomas Sagstad have been planning, plotting and dreaming anamē for two decades. First coming together at a house party in Helsingborg, Sweden, Marcus and Thomas bonded over a love of artists (Sasha or early Tiesto), labels (Strictly Rhythm, Defected), ethics (“We both wanted to work hard for our dreams”) and ideas.

‘Bermondsey Bender’ is a nod to the South London neighbourhood where the Anjunabeats office and Above & Beyond studio are based. The final single to be released ahead of their debut album, it captures the spirit and liveliness of the district.

“That song is about how we spent so much time down there – but it's not actually about a drunken night!” Marcus says. “It's just about how that area of London has this energy. And you kinda leave with that energy, feeling completely drunk. Drunk on energy and good vibes.”

“Very accurately put,” agrees Thomas. “When we're there, we're running between the office and the studios and the hotel. It's this triangle of streets. And you're so full of energy and adrenaline because you're trying to make everything happen while you're there. So I think that track is a good representation of us, and the album. It's fun to play with the whole bender idea. It's not really about that. But it still feels the same – in a positive way!”

anamē got their new album campaign off to a blistering start with the release of 'Anywhere (Road Trippin')', which was added to Sirius XM BPM and saw support from Don Diablo, Oliver Heldens, Tiësto, Korolova, Mees Salomé, Sultan + Shepard and more. Over the coming weeks and months, the band will be pulling back the curtain on how an album comes together, through their social media channels and on their ‘It’s a Beautiful World’ podcast series.

anamē ‘Bermondsey Bender’ is out now on Anjunabeats. The duo recently joined Above & Beyond at their Group Therapy Weekender festivities at The Gorge as well as our Anjunabeats Outdoors shows in New York City and Denver, and will soon feature at our Anjunabeats shows in Montréal, London and Amsterdam.
