Luca Abayan joins forces with Nightcolours to release his brand new Prisma EP. Comprising two heavyweight original proggers and remixes from Tonaco and Ayan.

Prisma is a snarling Prog monster. Stuffed to the brim with aggressive and very moody sound design, floaty ethereal vocals drift effortlessly creating an absolute monster. On remix duties is one of our favourite producers Tonaco. Taking things on a groove tip full of atmosphere and intricate percussion, it’s another winner from Tonaco.

Next up is Reset, a driving number sprinkled with delicate melodics and nagging synth lines. It’s another floor focussed destroyer. Bringing a different perspective on remix is Ayan who delivers a bubbling, glitchy wonder with just the right amount of grit 🙂

Release Info: 
Other tracks may have announced their arrival, but ‘Right In The Night’ was the one that poured the concrete that internationally cemented Jam & Spoon’s rep. The intoxicating, atypical combination of bass pulse, flamenco strings and Plavka’s smouldering song turned it into a pan-European chart hit. 

This month Black Hole Recordings takes J&S’s once-breakout/now best-known-for, and rolls it a remix double-six. They’ve enlisted the redoubtable skills of Johan Gielen and Morttagua, who’ve sent it along some markedly different strasses & autobahns, recasting ‘Right’ for their own night. 

Rio-resident and prog-explorer Morttagua is first with the remix flame, fashioning ‘Right’ into a fantastically all-consuming, ether-filled thriller. Bass-throb, percussive tap, spaced sub-melodies and orchestral hits all contribute to its headily-potent progressive vision, ultimately seeing the Brazilian replace its guitar mainline with moody-as-you-like synths. 

From there the release pirouettes from deeper perspectives to those of Johan Gielen, who sends ‘Right’ that much later into the night. Mounting his mix atop scudding drums, moving chords and percussion-spurred rhythms, he homages the original’s guitar inflections and maraca snaps, before letting his stirring mainline notes rain from the sky. 

Two highly individual takes on Jam & Spoon’s classic, you can lay hands/ears on the Johan Gielen and Morttagua reworks of ‘Right In The Night’ through all good stores and streaming platforms now https://blackhole.complete.me/ritnrmxs1 Time to fall in love with music all over again.

About the artist: 
Marco Pellegrini (Moopo) was born in Costa Rica, son of a Colombian mother and an Italian father, he has been around music from a early age, his dad listened to a lot of old rock, jazz, blues and world music, where his mother loved salsa and latin rhythms.
Marco has accomplished a lot of things, one of the main ones was signing a record deal with Universal Music Group in 2018, he has collaborated with artists all over the world and has songs with over 700.000 plays.
After 8 years of producing music he has decided to create this new project called “MOOPO”, completely different from what he was used to, Marco needed a fresh new start, new sounds, new feelings.
With “MOOPO” Marco wants to express real things, breaking through the mainstream sound that he was known for.
This is just the start of a really exciting journey.
