On NADINE's debut EP “Spring Will Come”, her delicate and accessible pop sounds are haunted by her pure and fragile tones. Her songs are visionary and full of natural spirituality and her message is one of hope triumphant. Balancing epic melodies with organic instrumentation, “Spring Will Come” evokes an emotional response from her listeners, who are healed and refreshed by this crystalline sound. It includes the evocative track “Snowflake”, first released in 2012, which has sold in Europe and the US. 
NADINE’s voice combines the effortless and relaxed quality of Imogen Heap and an early Norah Jones with the soulful passion of Regina Spektor and the warmth of Emeli Sandé. She is also experienced in the visual arts, and the skilful and distinctive artwork of this EP is her own.

“Not Even God,” the second single from my upcoming debut album The Longing Soul, is a compassionate ballad written for my sister, who tragically took her own life.

Not Even God is both a farewell and a lifeline, for her and for everyone fighting inner battles. With stripped-back honesty and heartfelt lyrics, the song explores the devastating truth that not even God can force a person to forgive themselves. I wrote this song in grief, but also in hope. It’s a letter to my sister and to anyone who’s ever felt unworthy of love, even when it’s right in front of them.

At its core, the song carries a radical message: true love can never be imposed, not by others and not even by God. “This is how you know it’s love,” the Middle 8 says, “when you’re free.” But that freedom is also what makes the truth so tragic. Because no matter how deeply you are loved by others, if you reject it out of pride or a sense of unworthiness, that love cannot take root.

Not Even God offers a quiet and courageous invitation to surrender and embrace compassion toward ourselves and each other.

This live version was recorded at MixArt Studios in the Emmental, near where I grew up, with a close group of friends and musicians from both my Swiss and London communities.
