Spearheaded by the powerful Above & Beyond Club Mix, “Black Room Boy” is the seventh – and final - single to be taken from the UK-based trio’s acclaimed “Group Therapy” album.  

With its lyrical inspiration focusing on the bitterness of an insular, introverted character who lives out his frustrations in the virtual world of the internet, “Black Room Boy” is driven by the vocals of Above & Beyond’s own Tony McGuinness – who penned the song’s lyrics –with the familiar tones of Richard Bedford adding a second layer in the chorus.   

A stand-out moment in Above & Beyond’s recent sets everywhere from Australia to Hawaii, the driving progressive-influenced Above & Beyond Club Mix is an unraveling epic with many peaks and a deep, emotive breakdown.

The Above & Beyond Club Mix of “Black Room Boy” will feature on Above & Beyond’s landmark “Anjunabeats Volume 10” compilation – released on 4 March.
