[Hypnotic Recordings]

On the 16th of September 2023 @balanca-music and me were playing together a hypnotic ambient downtempo set at IFZ. Cause I was in charge of the first circa 1,5 hours, wich was btw my first ambient set at all, I decided to upload my intro as an excerpt of the full set. 

All Sets of this beautiful @quartal-techno showcase at TRAK III will be served the following days.

Nælida @ Aequalis IFZ TRAKT III (quartal. Ambient Showcase - Excerpt)

A few days ago, we had the pleasure to witness the beautiful Aurora Borealis in our European spheres. A harbinger of the moonlit and starry summer nights that lie ahead. Nælida is our next “Dynamic Spheres” adept and will provide the perfect soundtrack for your upcoming nocturnal sessions.

Based in the vibrant city of Berlin, she found her musical home in Hypnotic Techno a few years ago. Since then, she has honed her craft to tell musical stories that can send the listener into uncharted territory while covering various aesthetics from organic and minimalist to experimental and leftfield.

Nælida proves her versatile skills with this mix that explores everything breaky. Broken beats are paired with warm basslines, intelligent rhythms with epic atmospheres, all topped off with spacey sounds that give the feeling of visiting an unexplored galaxy.

-This podcast marks the 19th timelapse for Khoros by featuring the remarkable talent of Nælida. Based in Berlin, Nælida—whose real name is Daniela—began her journey in the late 90s, passionately pursuing the evolution of electronic music. Her dedication to innovative sounds often led her to fly to different countries just to experience live performances by her favourite artists.

As she immersed herself in Berlin's downtempo scene, she discovered her ability to blend electronic and analog music in unique ways. This realisation ignited her desire to express herself through mixing. Under a different name, she explored various genres, gaining invaluable international experience.

A pivotal moment in her journey occurred in 2020 when she made a profound connection with hypnotic techno. This experience elevated her musical journey and transformed her relationship with music entirely. Since then, she has delved into the expansive realm of hypnotic sounds, enjoying how a single track can reveal entirely new dimensions.

In her sets, Nælida skillfully weaves narratives, inviting her listeners on an atmospheric journey. She masterfully navigates between ambient experimental sounds, minimalism, and organic, hypnotically driving peak-time techno, ensuring each performance is an unforgettable experience.

Journey Into Madness

𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐢𝐬 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞  

After I had uploaded my last Set in 2017 my taste in music constantly developed further and I literally grew out of the "Mariposa" (butterfly) wings. Sorry that I couldn’t let everybody participate.
 
Therefore, I changed my alter ego to Nælida and present my first set at 128 BPM.
 
I don’t want to say I’ll never play the lovely genre downtempo again. But even this changed to a more psychedelic driving kind.
 
I'm really curious about your feedback about my new musical path.
