Church is back in action with their second various artists compilation featuing brand new productions from DJ Aakmael, Aquarium, Laurence Guy & Debukas. Church has definitely been a label to watch lately after they released one of the best selling records of the year from Mall Grab but we've also been keeping an eye on another artist from the label who's been making music for a long time but only recently started to get the attention he deserves. Laurence Guy has recently dropped some great solo EP's on Church and Rose Records and contributed to compilations and split EP's on CinCin and Outplay but his latest addition to Churches Volumes 002 has the entire Phonica crew tapping our feet and nodding our heads in approval! It's strength lies in its subtlety, 'Wish I Knew' is a stripped back and piece of House music which effortlessly plays with tension and release. In February 2016 Midland made his contribution to the hugely influential BBC Essential Mix series. The end of the mix came in the shape of an unreleased track that would go on to soundtrack dance floors and festivals the world over. That track was 'Final Credits.' Since its creation in the depths of winter to its vinyl release in June, with weekly airings everywhere from Panorama Bar to DC10 to Dekmantel Festival, the record has united dance floors and become one of the most unlikely tracks of the year. As the summer disappeared, calls for a full release of 'Final Credits' have swelled, and now, thanks to The Classic Music Company we're delighted to say this is becoming a reality.

Midland 'Final Credits' (Classic Music Company)

The 20th release from Nina Kraviz’s трип imprint pays homage to the previously unexplored sub-cultures of 90s electronic dance music, such as hardcore, gabba, acid-techno and ambient. The 'Don't Mess With Cupid, 'Cause Cupid Ain't Stupid' 2xLP features ten original tracks from heavyweight producers Universal Indicator (aka Aphex Twin), Biogen, Exos and Nina Kraviz herself, amongst others.

Let`s lift the veil on the forthcoming MixCult Records` digital releases and move to the near future. @kirillmatveev made up the 2nd compilation «Letters from Tomorrow», presenting tracks from EPs and albums, which are going to be released this year. The album includes 7 compositions, and it will familiarize you with newcomers mostly, though some of the authors are already well known to you.

This compilation turned out to be diverse, including dub, acid, groovy deep and even a little of breakbeat.

Get ready to be taken away for a musical journey presented by this release. Rise Of Vega is one of the gems from Processing Vessel and to shine the gem you need a master craftsmanship. This is where the craftsmen comes in with their remixes, names you know and love. A new comer to SVR is IndySoul and he makes a very strong entrance with his remix. With a touch of Latin House and melancholic piano keys, his remix is really addicting. Then you have ZaVen, the talented Dutch producer who really takes music to another level of emotions. From beginning to end, ZaVen's remix is like a documentary of sounds. Another new member for SVR is BiGz AkA Big Al and his intro to the label is with a Deep, Dark and Sexy Remix of the Original. It's a remix that calls for all underground music lovers. To match the beat and style Lebedev (RU) would be the closest to BiGz remix as more upbeat drifting remix. Lebedev (RU) gives that uplifting touch to the remix. Like any clubs or parties there is always that closing track and for this release the closing track belongs to Domestic Science. It's an afterhours remix with the ending of the journey, smooth, hypnotic and ambient touch to the Original.

We call upon new talent for our fifth 12" release, a four track EP that also includes a remix from Dexter. The Leeds-based producer is set to blow up in 2010, having announced his arrival last month with the “Your Words Matter” 12" on Aus Music, a collaboration with pal Ramadanman. “Play The Game” begins moodily, Midland setting the scene with deep dub-chords before letting rip with a beautifully controlled breakbeat and a warm,insistent bassline. When the doleful string-pads arrive you know you're dealing with an anthem, and the intensity continues to rise as yearning, ethereal vocal snippets a la Burial, Pangaea or Joy Orbison skirt of the rhythm's surface. The track is a masterclass in building tension, with a succession of nail-biting builds giving way to subtle but devastating drops, and in this Midland shows uncommon maturity for such a young producer.On the remix front we find Holland's one and only Dexter. Fresh from “Redbox” – on Steffi’s Dolly imprint, Dexter completely reinvents “Play The Game”, turning out a finished product that really doesn't sound like anything else out there right now. Driven by a warped, distorted bassline that recalls the hoover sound of 90s Belgium and Kevin Saunderson in his pomp, teamed with dramatic strings, old-school percussion and positively oceanic breakdowns, it's big-room, electro-inflected techno of the highest order.“Leitmotif” finds Midland exploring an even deeper techno style, strengthening the groove with spectral FX and panning, dubbed-out percussion, and then scything it in half with a buzzing, trance-inducing bassline - this one has 'secret weapon' written all over it, primed for the club but with a pleasingly introspective quality as well. 'Head Down' continues his penchant for melodic, echo-drenched chords and disembodied vocal textures, this time riding an irresistibly skippy 4/4 rhythm. The record has received great feedback with djs across the board getting on different tracks from Ellen Allien, Laurent Garnier, Jimpster, Richie Hawtin, Deetron, Ramadanman and many more.
