Franky Carbon-e, Nae:Tek - Kaleidoscope [Superordinate Music]

Originally released in 2009, this standout remix package followed the release of Steve Bug’s fourth full artist album, Collaboratory, which dropped earlier that year to widespread acclaim. The album captured Steve’s dedication to forward-thinking house music, teaming up with a stellar cast of collaborators including Gigi, Donnacha Costello, and Simon Flower.
Collaboratory Remixes Vol.1 brought fresh interpretations from Ribn, Motor City Drum Ensemble, and Sven Tasnadi, and still holds up today.

Ribn (aka Manuel Tur and Langenberg) deliver a deep, dubby, Detroit-tinged take on “Like It Should Be” featuring Gigi. Their Translucent Vox Remix builds with patience, drawing you in with a long, atmospheric intro before locking into a driving, bass-led groove that honors Gigi’s sultry vocals.

Motor City Drum Ensemble brings the heat with a raw house twist on “Still Music,” the Bug and Costello collaboration. Loaded with late 80s and early 90s drum machine attitude and bubbling keys, it’s an acid-tinged workout that still burns.
Sven Tasnadi rounds things out with a tight, tracky remix of “Passing Clouds” (Bug and Simon Flower), fusing melancholic synth lines with solid drums and a modern tech-house edge.

Clara Debuts on Get Physical with Electro-Fueled Single ‘Richi&Anto33’.

Get Physical Music welcomes a bold new voice to its roster with the release of ‘Richi&Anto33’ by Clara, an exciting newcomer with a sound rooted deeply in the raw textures of classic electro.

Following her 2024 debut on Semantic Sounds, Clara steps up with a track that fuses oldschool aesthetics and future-facing energy. ‘Richi&Anto33’ is driven by breaky 808 drums, arpeggiated synth basslines, and futuristic sound design, all wrapped around cryptic spoken-word vocals that add an eerie, robotic edge. Mexican enfant extraordinaire @inigovontier is rolling in with his debut EP for Feines Tier and it’s a match made in heaven. Just judging on the name alone, as he seems to be from some kind of royal Tier family descent. But enough with the mind-numbingly bad puns and on to some brain-meltingly good music. Rolling. Everything’s rolling. Zongato is rolling. We don’t know who or what a Zongato is (a Google search just led to a Twitch streamer with that name and 0 followers), but they are definitely rolling. It’s got this special combination of straight and uncompromising beat and bass paired with psychedelic synth sirens floating around your head that somehow only the Mexicans really know how to nail. Astrolo is rolling. Like a well-oiled machine. Well, maybe like a not so well-oiled machine, one that’s shrieking and creaking, but has been running since forever and reliably will do so until we’re all gone from this Earth. If you ask Google Translate, Mucha Onda means „very cool“ in English, „molto bello“ in Italian or „valde frigidus“ in Latin and there is nothing more to add to that. The psychedelics are back (were they ever gone?) and kick in in full swing on Hedonist Lizard. A dangerous cocktail of high-proof alcoholic drum and bass patterns paired with some sugary spicy herbals of unknown origin, better not down it in one go. You were warned. On The Sounds Are Good, the sounds are good indeed! And rolling.
