I *absolutely* loved these @km-songs lyrics when I first read them, and also had a feeling they'd work well as a duet. So I enlisted the help of the brilliant Serene Sunderland (@user-846248422), who has made the song about a million times better with her presence. Musically, I was aiming for something Gershwin-y, but it's ended up in Randy Newman territory. Ah well...

Hurtin' For A Heartache

This was a quick holiday write. We stayed with some friends in Slovenia who had a GORGEOUS Yamaha upright piano. Sadly, I didn't have time to record a version on it, but back in my home studio I grabbed a mic and did a live one-take to try and capture a bit of that feeling from the Yamaha. Very little mixing/production has been done (well, for me at any rate!), and it's a bit rough around the edges as a result. But I hope you like it anyway.

Messed around with the music which plays during the stage load screens.  Grabbed that sample and slowed it down, duplicated it a few times and made one act as a bassline.
Then added all the other stuff.
This was originally done way back in 2015, but was completely different; a straight up 4-on-the-floor dance thing.  I scrapped all of that.

Dragons

February 2020, I collaborated with almost everyone I've made music with since I was a kid. I've made music with some of these people for 20 years. There will be a lot of genre bending and a variety of lyrical content ranging from slap stick to too serious. 
Not to kill the vibe, but my dad died on 02/29/2008, so February has always been a weird time for me. I'm releasing this collection of 29 songs, 1 for everyday of a Leap February. Dedicated to Chet "O.E.P." Burozski.
