When I initially wrote this song, it was with the intent of a beautiful moment being celeb￼rated, there was a whole demo with terrible sounding violins and Roberto transformed the idea into something beautiful and concise. It needed the tragic story. This is what came from that.

'picky eaters club' is a 5-track compilation of songs named after fruits I’ve never quite loved but somehow made space for in music. It’s also my first attempt at fully self-producing an EP. It’s 5 tracks from my room to yours. Far from perfect, but honest.

What started as a single, tangerines, grew legs after it was so well-received live, pulling hungry and mangoes into what I thought would be a 3-track EP. Then came ‘the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree’, and a soft, soothing love letter ‘bananas e cerejas’ which is sung in Portuguese.

This project is exactly what it sounds like, intimate, alternative and personal with sass.

This is a conflict. Obviously we all want someone who’s going to treat us well and be able to share everything we do with them.
