Tum door thay is the magnum opus of now defunct 80s and 90s band Vital Signs. It is on my must-sing list for all performances I have for Indian and Pakistani audience. The original version of the song has a powerful groove composed by Rohail Hayat (the foremost music composer and producer from Pakistan). My challenge was to do something different with this song while maintaining the nostalgia and deep emotional message. So I slow down the tempo a bit and take on the mike while Sayyam takes on guitars and finalizes the arrangement. Ali Mustafa has done the production.

Shaam say pehlay aana is by far the best song from the legend Alamgir. As a youngster I was fascinated that Alamgir used Mac for sequencing, something I later did with Amiga. The original version of the song has a booming bass and a mood that's almost impossible to replicate. However, I have performed an acoustic rendition with Sayyam on guitars and production by Ali Mustafa.
