finally a naivetape! it's been hard to juggle everything but we are glad to be back. this time with someone super duper special who is about to release an incredible EP on naivety. São Paulo based young artist VAZQUEZ who is a lovely, funny and extremely talented person. we met at mamba negra in São Paulo (my fav party ever), when he gave me an usb with some of his sick tracks after my set. we hugged and here we are over a year later,still in touch almost on the daily and organising a release on naivety :) it's coming out on friday may 7 on bandcamp and may 21 on all shops/streaming platforms.  it has an incredible nrg that balances intricate drum patterns, swingy percussion and twisted synths that cry and sing (always a fav) his naivetape is just as chock-full of interesting and heartfelt dance-sounds, with broken rhythms and beautiful textures in a beautiful energy throughout.
a little bio from the artist himself: Maurício Vazquez aka Vazquez is a young producer from São Paulo who started his musical trajectory in 2016. Searching for sounds outside the grid Vazquez dives into percussive and introspective compositions to express the point of view of his reality, creating sounds capable of inserting us into another environment. Bordering the ritualistic, the project invites us to go back to our origins and trace our trajectory. Currently composes the collective CONCRETO where it exposes the diversity of its work.

Wrapping up the year with a bang, we've got @thrivedmusic in the mix with a weighty 2h live recording. 

The Berlin based DJ, production and live act duo consisting of @dj_ion & @tymotica take no prisoners in this expertly executed excursion into their sound. High energy, club ready selections strike the perfect balance between techno and bass elements, a skill that they also display in their formidable recent "Bionic Gradient" EP, out on @voitax.

Keep your eyes and ears peeled for more action from these two in 2024!

Went in a bit too deep with this, spent hours tweaking the loop before finding the power to record it. Cut the jam short and it still came out at 15 minutes. Building a nice catalogue of these live recordings, feels like I'm getting some nice results. Will have to get some of these online soon if I can get a few more of this standard.
