Based in LA, Najaya is a country girl from Wilson, NC looking to share stories that detail the lives of herself and her peers.  Inspired by the likes of Erykah Badu, Missy Elliott, Kendrick Lamar, Betty Davis, and Janet Jackson, she combines Hip-Hop cadences with hypnotizing Soul and R&B melodies to deliver songs that stick to ya ribs.  From ghostwriting D.A.R.E. graduation programs in elementary school to singing Negro spirituals for the Obamas in the White House, her real life experiences combined with the world she’s created in her mind brings her audience into a surreal existence where Blackness and imagination can freely coexist without boundaries.
