Birthdays are always a moment of deep introspection for me. Since I'm turning 30, I'm reflecting a lot on the past decade that went by so fast. 

I feel incredibly lucky for everything that happened to me over those past 10 years. It was filled with love, friends, travels, adventures and intellectual challenges. And of course music.

Here is a selection of deep groove that made me really happy this year. We've had a crazy cold winter in New York. But even in the worst days, I would play some of those to teleport myself to a remote beach. 

To the next decade of groove!

"I finally got my smooth-DJ fix at Burning Man earlier this month where we took an actual (decommissioned and on-wheels) yacht out into the white open sands and had a great cruise with about 150 people," says Jesse Houk aka The Scumfrog. "I recorded the set and this is the result."
