Nakia Chanel was born on February 1st. Music has been a way for her to deal with the troubles of her life. As a child, Nakia's mother and father divorced. It took some time for Nakia to adjust to that change. Nakia and her older brother was raised by their mother. Nakia and her brother was cared for by their aunt as their mother worked to provide for them. She now has a younger brother and sister. As Nakia then progressed in her music career some of the major influences to her music was, Musiq Soulchild, Lyfe Jennings, Lil Wayne, Drake, Stylistics, Marvin Gaye, Temptations and many more. Nakia was dealt a lot of things in her life, from bad, relationships, to being homeless, finding out she has a hole in her heart, and many more things. As she became a young mother she then took on raising her kids all alone. As Nakia progresses in her music career she plans on helping young moms that can't help themselves. Nakia is a true inspiration and plans on helping as many people as she can to better themselves. Needing nothing in return but a smile! Nakia says she plans on using her music to inspire those who feel like giving up. She say's, "Many times I just didn't know where my life was going. I have many health problems. One day I decided that faith without works is dead, thats when I stood up and decided I have another chance!" This is a truely caring woman
