Ex-Mixmag editor Snubbelrisk a.k.a. Viv Craske debuts on Electronic Architecture with the formidable Pookies. His musical manifesto is “trance, prog, techno to help ground you in the moments of madness” and the 124bpm Pookies would seem to embody that manifesto neatly. Boasting a metallic clap and hi-hats combo, a very Detroit bass line, ethereal vocal snatches, gated synth licks and some very inventive sound design.

Brazilian Andre Sobota returns to ICONYC with his brand-new single 'Altitude’. His last outing back in May of last year was received to high acclaim – with big support from the big player’s brigade at the time. With his long-awaited return to ICONYC, Andre delivers a slice of early spring vibes titled 'Altitude'. The track kicks things off nicely with its melancholic moodiness shining through as we meander effortlessly through South American inspired melodies, while the sultry chords sit wonderfully on top adding an extra layer of depth.

First up on remix duty we have no other than Dmitry Molosh, famed for his intricate and refined productions. He delivers a great take on 'Altitude'. His rework creates tension from the word go, as the atmospheric vibe subtly keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as this restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm glow, creating an air of sophistication. 

Next up is Belgium label alum Steve Slight, known for his polished and driven sound, who keeps the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general warmth all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear, yet sounding fresh - This mystical touch up takes the energy levels up a notch, but increases the melancholy with stripped back and lucid elements at the same time, before the luscious pads grace the rework changing the vibe and creating a blanket of warmth that wraps around the effected groove. 

Last but not least we have a remix courtesy of the professor, literally, and genius sound mechanic Biologik who delivers a wonderful floating deep mix with infectious chords, intense drums and smooth breakdown. It's all about the groove, silky house vibes and the melancholic beats that are working their magic around Biologik's wonderfully arranged keys that create an irresistible rhythm while clever chords take the mind on a trip. A truly beautiful cultivated rework.

The fifth and final single off his upcoming LP ‘Nightwhisper’, 'For Those We Knew’ is a touching homage to Jody’s father. Inspired by the contrasting emotions felt during a difficult time, the track was written to be "something ultimately uplifting, but a piece that still portrayed the feeling of impending loss”. After composing ‘For Those We Knew’,  Jody teamed up with vocalist Mimi Page, explaining "there is an extremely spiritual and ethereal quality to her voice which I thought made perfect sense contextually”.

 With over 26 million streams across his solo and collaborative catalogue, Wisternoff's latest LP is a culmination of decades at the forefront of the UK rave scene. Written during an introspective period for the DJ and songwriter, 'Nightwhisper’ drops May 1.

Anjunadeep welcomes the return of Nikola Melnikov & Max Sorokin with their ’Sphinx EP'. An established composer and pianist, Melnikov’s refined compositions have seen him perform around the world, including shows at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, Stockholm City Hall, and Moscow’s Red Square. A talented producer out of St Petersburg, Sorokin burst onto the scene with this year's 'Sun Wakes Up Earlier Than All / Pandawa’.

The Russian duo’s latest affirms their ability to blend instrumentation and deep melodic grooves. Title track ’Sphinx’ drives forward with sidechained textural rhythms, whilst ‘Gods Of Hall’ sways between a breakdown of strings and beautiful arpeggios. Final track ‘Zosmo’ showcases Melnikov’s supreme talent on the keys, and further demonstrates why the duo have garnered support from the likes of Lane 8, Ben Böhmer, Eelke Kleijn, and Eli & Fur.
