DiN48 | World Adapter | Parallel Worlds & Self Oscillate

Ingo Zobel (Self Oscillate) and Bakis Sirros (Parallel Worlds) first started collaborating via the internet in 2004. Their first album, “Current Flow”, under the project name “Interconnected”, was released in 2010 on the Belgian VU-US label. Following this a vinyl EP of ambient tracks called “Mechanic Environments” was released in 2013 on the Dohkonul record label.

For “World Adapter”, their second full collaborative album, Ingo and Bakis are using their more widely known aliases of Self Oscillate and Parallel Worlds respectively. Four years in the making this album is redolent with the sounds and textures of modular analogue synthesisers which both musicians are well known for employing in their music. Ingo uses a large Doepfer / Eurorack system whereas Bakis creates his complex sonic textures with Doepfer, Serge and Buchla systems as employed on his previous DiN releases (Obsessive Surrealism (DiN26), Shade (DiN32), Exit Strategy with Ian Boddy (DiN37) and Morphogenic with Dave Bessell (DiN41)).

Once their modular improvisations are recorded they are micro-edited in Ableton Live to form the ten tracks that make up “World Adapter”. On the track “Legend Silence” they collaborate with the Polish singer/composer India Czajkowska whose ethereal voice adds a distinctive flavour to this composition. The album has an IDM flavour, full of complex modulations and intricate rhythms. The duo then hang beguiling, simple melodies around these structures to create another intriguing quality release from the DiN label.

Ben Shaw has been producing and remixing for more than 13 years, starting off under the Sunscape alias on Barrie Jamieson’s label Fluid Recordings, before releasing under his own name with his biggest track “So Strong” feat. Adele Holness on Cass, Slide and Lee Burridge's Fire label back in 2001.
Following this he ran his own label Kubist Recordings in 2003, seeing several vinyl releases. Ben has since been releasing music on various labels including Omnis, Repressure, Per-Vurt, Mesmeric, 99% Recordings and Black Hole.
Last summer Ben made it through to the "Final 14" contestants in the infamous Burn Studios Sasha remix competition. His remix of Sasha’s "Cut Me Down" was released on Sasha's Last Night on Earth Label.

His mixes have been played on various online stations including the famous Proton Radio, whilst on the production front Ben has worked with vocalists and producers from the USA and Spain.  Ben recently released “Phobos7” on Soulfire Downloads. The track has had support from all the major players, including Sasha who charted the Thermal Bear remix on his July 2012 Beatport chart.
As a duo, NameSpace's first release was "The Sentinel" which was swiftly signed to highly acclaimed label Stripped Recordings and released in March 2011.  The Sentinel was remixed by Deepfunk and Global Underground regular Jim Rivers. Since then NameSpace have gone on to remix tracks by Seb Dhajje, Deepfunk, and more recently D00sh and Orlinski on Endemic Digital, Crossworld and Soulfire Downloads.
