003 marks the first of a special three-part showcase of sets recorded live from Miro Gathering – a New Year’s celebration deep in the native ngahere west of Whangārei, Aotearoa. We listen as Benny Salvador plays the festival finale following a beautiful live set from D. Tyrone (@d_tyrone) and a DJ Kushboogie (@djkushboogie) reunion. He traversed unreleased gems, un-shazamable edits and a good dose of soul with such class the crowd danced until te rā rose over the maunga; signalling the beginning of 2021.

We first heard of emanuel through his Rap/Hiphop alias @nameul, doing his thing from a distance in Wellington, killing it as a really enjoyable & popular live artist.

Quite randomly, my man hits us up saying he's rolling through Auckland, "Yo who's keen for a mix?" - We were like, "Oh daym, homies multi-talented, lets see what he's got for lunch!!"

That week swings by and Emanuel rolls up to Base FM and more or less EXECUTES us with his well dug for, sophisticated, pumping dance music. 

Emanual has recently come back from a 2 year stint in London. This trip has birthed a completely new musical chapter for him he says. The UK & European dance scene has given him a rather obvious education on how to bang a d-floor, clearly. Please don't just take our word for it .. See for yourself by enjoying his well rounded guest mix :-)
