In the case of storey buildings, the number of storey's determines how deep the foundations need to go. This principle is the same in life. The bigger the size of your dreams, the deeper you need to be prepared to dig your heels in to prepare your character for whats ahead and what it will take to be successful.

Preparation Time Is Key

The size of your dreams determines the level of preparation required to be successful

How old one gets becomes a secondary issue when we place importance rather on how impactful we are in our life time. We know Methuselah was the oldest in the Bible. His name is mentioned elsewhere in 1 Chronicles and Luke but the most we read of him was summed in Genesis 5:27 “Methuselah lived 969 years, and then he died”. That’s all.

In Genesis 6:3, the maximal human longevity is set by the symbolic number 120 and Moses maxed that out. He died at age 120. 120 =3x40.

What Is Your Definition of Long Life?

David summarizes Joseph's 'from prison to the palace story' in Psalm 105:19…”Until the time came to fulfill His word, the LORD tested Josephs Character.”

Today, you may have been going through some hardships, trials and problems. You may be going through challenges even today. You know specifically what problems you are dealing with. God wants you to know, that it is time for his word to be fulfilled. You are today in that season when Gods prophecy and promises will come to pass.

The Amplified pits it this way
“Until the time that his word [of prophecy regarding his brothers] came true,
The word of the LORD tested and refined him”

Some people are always looking for someone or something to blame for their problems and challenges they face. They blame their ancestors, family members, supervisors at work, Government, Church. This verse puts our problems and challenges into perspective. Stop blaming other and allow the word to God’s word to refine you, your preferences in life, your priorities, your character, your thoughts and emotions.
