As I Lose My Self Again

When I discovered that I could make music with an iPad back in the distant Christmas of 2011, it was a shock that made me compose, to learn and develop ideas, almost 400 sketches and compositions in the first 5 years. The interesting thing is that, in addition, I found time to work, eat and sleep (Not much...) 😉.

One Christmas night of 2013-2014, when I had been composing for two years and the night of the Three Kings was approaching, which is a special holiday in Spain, and other countries, because the next day Christmas presents are given (It is a very special day for children) I was still so obsessed with the composition that I couldn't sleep. So I took my iPad, improvised, and in 5 hours I finished what you hear now. I tried to create an epic music that recalled the journey of the three Kings. I remember it was around 6:00 am when I went to bed.

It was my first orchestral composition without any electronic style and I post it here.

There's a Wrinkle  in the Moment 
the Muse is missing in the War Zone
Beauty has a different definition
in the loaming of the elder days

My Alcoholic friend came busting through the treeline
stone cold sober, when the quarter moon was rising
and the surf was crashing
crying like a child

Said he saw the future in a puddle in his driveway
after eating mushrooms from Hawaii-

That's when i started laughing
That's when i started crying
trying and deciding to give it all away-
beginning with Cessation
embracing the rejected
replacing the infected with absolutely nothing but Compassion-

Forgiveness out of order
being highly overrated
since the bad behaviors
are in the very natures of the perpetrators

Recalibration,  however is an option
in the aftermath's Duration
and the possiblity of Passion 
still lingers in the fingers on the fretboards
and the singers sing songs they've written
while smitten with emotion of the joyful
and broken hearted lovers and covers
and collections of recollections of Moments--

"Newer Unknown Breeds" was at the time a further development in sound for Blink Twice. The album expanded on the techno and electro genre much more than Blink Twice's debut "Other Locations". There was an increase usage of sampling on this collection of material, often with looped effects incorporated to add further density. With the blend of tribal and industrial elements remaining, it serves as an adventurous concoction of experimental rhythmic and ambient electronic music. The album and bonus tracks from 2000-2003 have been remastered for this rerelease.

The underlying theme of "Newer Unknown Breeds" was the observance of mutations (both deliberate and natural) within organisms. Evolutionary results of obscure creatures and their advancement and place in the biological field.
