"mariachi tecaliton - cumbia arabe" - - - cumbia favourite of mine. always been loving this song since i first heard it in a dj set by mister quantic. took me quite a few years to finally track this song down. brilliant slow cumbia, nice percussion and an arabic theme... enjoy it!

"Orquesta Cuerdas del Caribe - Yo Soy Juan Valdez" - another Cumbia favorite of mine. Haven't got much info on this one - only that I came across it via the obscure "Lobo" compilation (altogether 100 volumes) some nice music enthusiast shared online a few years ago - containing lots of obscure, as well as killer Cumbia sounds I have never heard before... I like this Cumbia as it is very special, even cheesy to some degree - but at the same time it carries a certain funkyness which makes me smile and dance - sometimes I get the idea thats how the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra gone Cumbia would sound - thats why I also call it "The Cumbia of the 1000 Violins"... Enjoy :)
