Kuiji nu Hana - Da Lata mix

It was a 'catch it if you can' moment.. when the original double a-sider was first released on Enzyme Black Recordings it was met with huge support from heavyweight DJs on the house scene such as Phil Asher, Aaron Ross, CJ Mackintosh to name a few. The sublime Stratosphere was pure 'Dance Ritual' in tone; the beautiful evolving strings reminiscent of Freddie Hubbard's 'Little Sunflower' were backed up by lush grand piano and a Kerri Chandler-esque b-line. Redlight evoked the concrete warehouse flavours of New Jersey in the 90s but brought things up to date with contemporary synth stabs and a heap of dark atmosphere. It's rare these days for tracks to have both love AND longevity but those who have original copies of either track still hold on tight, sniggering whilst others wait in expectation for them to resurface. So, after several months of lockdown, both tracks have now been licensed by Afroart Records to be re-released with an incredible selection of remixes.
