‘Battlecruiser' gradually moves itself forward on cranking drum patterns and slowly creeping synths cutting through the mix, edging out its atmospherics and then crashing forward on its grating snare. Every bass note stabs into the composition, with subs rattling each beat, resulting in you becoming more tightly gripped with every relay and layer. Pythius delivers his raw, unfaltering musicianship, whilst Optiv & CZA help to conjure the darkest elements of drum & bass, which they helped to create. This is a stark blend of old school and
new, demonstrating C4C's contemporary standards and elevated understanding of the realm they reign over.

Forbidden Society Recordings presents ''Prophets Of The Doom Remixes Part 1'' this remix pack contains some of the Forbidden Society cuts reworked by some masters within the genre. The release opens with a hypnotizing ''The Clamps'' remix of the label anthem ''Street Justice''. The staggering drums work great with the bassline and intrusive synth blips. The emotive ambiance that is introduced throughout makes for a great alternation. Second up is signature snare-man ''Donny'' who delivers a banging reword of Forbidden Society's BWM. Hardcore Drum & Bass music at it's finest,  it's all about the drums in this one. South African duo ''Counterstrike'' come up with a remix for ''Sellout''. This is a peak time rework, placing the emphasis on top notch drum-breaks and some funked out elements that  should strike a chord with lovers of the label. Hallucinator are reworking the ever so dark ''NYC Punk''. This fast paced theme is pumped up a notch with great care for the original. Label regular ''Katharsys'' does an adventurous reword of 'Skullcrawler' which stands out in originality. The pack is finished by S9 who creates havoc with his tremendous ''Outlaw'' remix. Forbidden Society Recordings at it's best with an undeniable all-star line up.Watch out for the part.2!

He fled without words from his workplace, the other labourers around glancing quickly up at their fellow tearing across the derelict site of their toil. Ducking between the scaffolds, his hands clawing wretchedly at his heavy form, as his insides churned and wave after wave of pure violence washed through him. He found the entrance, gasping with relief and pain, before dropping swiftly into the cave beneath the foundation and falling starkly into the dim blackness of the tunnels below. Writhing on the cold stone ground, he felt it ripping through his back and up the side of his face, his eyes glazing then filling with the fire of a pure primal energy as he arched his head back and let out a tearing sound of unleashed psychic tearing and the breaking of his mind. It had him in its grasp, claws ripping through his hands – its presence overtaking him and unveiling his true SHAPESHIFTER nature.

AKOV follows up his recent initial foray on the label with a solid step into the EATBRAIN fold in the form of the SHAPESHIFTER EP. Comprising 4 tracks of exquisitely dynamic neurofunk and experimental beats that dares to dive between tempos and deliver an entirely fresh take on the genre. From the outset with title track SHAPESHIFTER, a curve ball hits swift, as a straight intro leads into a drop that stretches reality and deviates between spacious reese action and busy percussion, before heavily reglitching itself into a deliciously wonky form. ABRAXAS leads a more epic path with a shimmering, beautiful intro infused with ethnic aesthetics that gives way to an entirely punishing machinegun drop that only pauses to reload and issue a heavy staccato bass cannon. With GAMES WITH GOD featuring THE CLAMPS, the metallic nature of the drums edges up a notch and the vibe leans toward a more sinister but rolling edge. FIRST CONTACT turns the tempo way down to 128 but elevates the attitude to a new level, delivering a chugging and brutish stepper of a tune that carries its neuro core effectively to the vein.

The range of ideas within the Shapeshifter EP serves as a technical breath of fresh air to a genre that’s build on the concept of progression and experimentation. Akov delivers the manifesto of an artist intent on pushing the sound further, delivered on a label at the forefront of futuristic d&b.

With the beginning of the new year, the founders of Drumatch are here with their first ever collaborative EP. Dykman and Dekel have teamed up together to bring you an EP of genuine and explosive hard drum and bass. 
The Black Hole EP consists of 4 tracks full of dirty basses and metallic snares. 
The first track "Psychotest" will remind you of the industrial area where they come from with its 4x4 beat. Next comes "Brainscan" with fast hats and bass which are reminiscent of the neurofunk pioneers of this age. 
With a very atmospheric intro and dark mood comes the title track "Black Hole", with rave synths and a hard-hitting snare as the main elements. Finally we hear "2 Side", a hybrid between crossbreed, hardcore and drum & bass. This track brings these genres together into one massive track!

STROBCORE returns to OTHERCIDE RECORDS to present his CROSSCURRENT EP, delivering four furious slices of industrial hardcore to brutal effect. A veteran producer known for the often eccentric character of his creations, STROBCORE’s skills have carried his releases to labels such as Industrial Strength, Nekrolog1k, Footworxx, and more. After making his OTHERCIDE RECORDS debut at the beginning of the year with the “Distortion of Reality” EP, STROBCORE now returns to the label with a new set of hardcore selections for the CROSSCURRENT EP.

RIPGID opens the EP as an exercise in rising intensity, growing from its inauspicious origins amongst soft bells into a selection of funk fueled hardcore with a unique aspect of energetic levity. Speaking to the driving philosophy of the ep is SLOWLY BUT SURELY, which sets the overdriven tonalities and shuffling rhythms of its percussion amongst an atmosphere of mystical pitchbent vocals in a decisive statement of intent. THE BEAST follows next with a sheer display of dynamic force via its devastating kickdrum as a menagerie of roaring synths and animalistic samples cry out in its wake. CROSSCURRENT then marks the EP’s end with a set of syncopated percussive rhythms, which punctuate the void created by its monolithic kickdrum with snares, vocal samples, and distorted glitches alike.

With CROSSCURRENT, STROBCORE returns to OTHERCIDE RECORDINGS to display a portion of his hardcore philosophy with four tracks that display his deft production within the industrial realm.
