Slightly late here bringing in the bassline on the drop, at least I nailed the kick drum!

This was a close call - thought a synth was running filtered off, so i cut everything to silence, but got the kick back in before the next beat. Disaster recovery is just part of the gig in hardware jamming!

Further evidence of this being a live take. Otherwise, why else would you do a breakdown at the end of the track!

I use a kitchen timer to keep track of how long i've been jamming. Here's where I start up for another round then realise I'm coming up 7 minutes, so I ended up clumsily filtering off for an impromptu outro.

Hi, my name is James Allen and welcome to my Soundcloud, Nanomancer.

I'm a producer and content creator working in Darksynth, cyberpunk, EBM and industrial music genres.

Follow my challenges and successes as I try to develop and perform a live set entirely on hardware synths and drum machines, which I plan on performing outside of my home studio when the phage passes...

I'm also a guitar player and have been heavily involved with algorithmic music, generative and other aspects of coding and music tech, and in recent years returned to being a part time student studying computing. Other experience includes a HND in music technology and I'm currently setting up an Industrial music related E-commerce venture which utilises my wide range of skills.
