Corfu-based artist and DJ Petros Odin joined by Anastasia Nati and Benet is hitting Dear Deer Music with a new single. Sets in like techno classics with a spinning bass and 4-to-the-floor solid kicks it quickly evolves into a much more complex deep tech tune with the introduction of foggy pads shading across the audio pan. Roaring overdriven basses and grippy drumkit loops keep the mix while it heads to the drop. Introductions of high voltage synths bypassing the scene and conspiring voice will make it even darker. German techno and house composer Tim Engelhardt takes you on a deep dive into his peculiar-yet-relatable world of musical meanderings with Idiosynkrasia. True to the nature of idiosyncrasy, the album is more than the sum of its parts.

Idiosynkrasia is an ode to the inspiration Tim finds in all kinds of spaces and places: each cut woven from the same cloth of meticulously formed melodic structures and expertly crafted harmonies, gently amplified and unfettered by genre. From the opening track, its clear that Tim has a profound awareness of rhythm and sound, his background as a pianist lending an easy fluidity to the album as it expands and contracts to tell a story which is gentle, humble and reflective.

Using granular processed recordings of piano, floating strings and other instruments to transmute emotions like love, nostalgia, vulnerability and longing, the album shifts through meditative, flow-state inducing tracks, morphing into cuts designed for dancing it all out.

Take it straight, mix it up or down: Idiosynkrasia is cinematic in form and orchestral in structure, each track is marked with Tims unique sonic signature and careful attention to instrumentation.

Inhale the spirited and lively flow; exhale and surrender into epiphanic moments: this is an album that will catalyse deep breaths, reflection and a different way of thinking.

Nanoplex is the live project from two of the pioneers of the UK progressive techno sound, Ben Coda & DJ Ipcress.

Ben Coda needs little introduction, his tech-prog sound crosses boundaries - tough beats and rolling basslines contrast with soaring melodies, fusing his love of the tougher sounds of techno and tech house with classic progressive house. With a busy international schedule, Coda is taking his sound to the masses.

DJ Ipcress has risen from the underground dance scene in the UK and over the last 5 years has taken his dark edged techno sound across Europe and the world. Fusing techno and house, with a deep minimal groove, a partnership with Ben Coda was always going to produce a slick future techno sound.

Huachuma translates to “removing the head” (wach- meaning “remove” and -uma meaning “head”) which metaphorically might mean the death of the ego. The word comes from Quechua, the language of the indigenous culture of the same name in the central Andes. As Maxwell told us, “The name San Pedro was an adaptation that came as a result of Catholic contact via Spanish conquistadors.” This is fascinatingly similar to the Bwiti tribe in Gabon who use ibogaine in a syncretic Christian-tribal tradition; it seems that part of the Andean adaptation to missionary influence was to rename this sacred plant after Saint Peter, implying that the entheogenic cactus holds the keys to the gates of heaven just as its new namesake, Saint Peter, is said to do.
