Friday Funk

Some big brass band sounds, some harpsichord, and a whole lotta drums. I wanted to create a track to convey feeling "rushed" and slightly chaotic, but in a fun, "let's go!" kind of way. This is the short version - full-length version coming soon!

A track that leads you in several different directions, & has a little bit of everything, all at once. Tick-tock . . . . 

Deception

A beat-heavy, old-school type of house track with mood, feeling, & that’ll hopefully make you move . . .

Shake the Beat

I had a movie playing in my head as I worked on this one - a Western tragedy that turns a bit hopeful, and has a dance break (because, of course . . . ) 
And instead of a gun battle - a clap battle?! 
I mean - why not?! Anything can happen when you're turning a thought into music.

The Dust-Up

I had a lot of fun with this one. 
As usual, I had a very clear story / movie scene I came up with that was playing in my head as I worked on it. 
I wanted to convey several different, fairly distinct parts of the "scene", and wanted to depict the feelings of needing to escape and also various speeds - running, slowing down to try to blend into the background, then needing to move quickly again. 
All while having a great beat you can move to or just vibe with.

Flight Risk

Revelry was another chance for me to take the story I had in my head and translate it into music.
This story takes place on a hot, steamy, Summer night, in a New Orleans-type setting. 
There's a lot of people, a lot of energy, and a lot going on.
I was picturing a parade through the streets that turns into a party, that then turns into something else. 
Something a bit debaucherous, perhaps with a touch of something . . . paranormal.
I wanted this track to have something slightly off about it. You think it's one thing, but then maybe it's something else, but still with a beat you can move to and of course, vibe with.
'Cause at the end of the day, it's all about the vibes.

This track's definitely a vibe. I wanted to tell a bit of a "spy story" - music that sets the stage of a story full of intrigue, danger, adventure, romance - all with the background feel of warm summer nights, the ocean, & the breeze on your face.
