In a world once clear, now shrouded in night,  
A man of keen sight, now robbed of his light.  
A sage of the streets, every corner known,  
Now wanders in darkness, feeling alone.

Blindness descends, a sudden, cruel thief,  
He stands at a crossroads, gripped by grief.  
“Shall I cease to roam?” he ponders in dread,  
But the thought of stillness fills him with dread.

For him, to move is to truly be alive,  
In the pulse of the streets, his spirit would thrive.  
Though now each step is a stumble, a fall,  
He rises, determined to conquer it all.

Blind, yet walking, his journey unsure,  
A path undefined, his motives pure.  
The joy of travel, now a distant song,  
In this new world, does he still belong?

Should he surrender, accept this cruel twist?  
Or forge ahead, in the unknown persist?  
A bell tolls in his mind, a relentless sound,  
A reminder of the sight that he once found.

He tries to forget the life once in view,  
Embracing the dark, starting anew.  
Yet, what drives him forward on this unseen road?  
Is it the thrill, or a burden, a heavy load?

To cease would be failure, a loss too great,  
Yet in motion, he confronts an unknown fate.  
A traveler blind, in a world remade,  
Seeking purpose in the shadows, unafraid.

Mari, lost in love with Hailey
Back and forth they swayed, together they revolved.  
Yet, in this dance, Mari's heart felt an eerie chill,  
A worry, a fear, that something wasn't right, still.

Anxious thoughts haunted him, a ghostly whisper in his mind,  
Day by day, a shadow lurked, a truth he couldn't find.  
Though Hailey's words were comforting, a promise to stay with him a never leave
His heart couldn't shake the feeling, a hidden, unknown fear.

He tried to ignore these fears, to enjoy the love they shared,  
But the sense of something wrong was always there, but unfound.  
Then the day came, Hailey left
Mari's fears, once silent, now screaming at him telling him that they where all ture, always

He thought his worries that they were a warning, a prelude to this pain,  
Without her, everything seemed pointless, nothing to gain. 
 
In his longing for the past, he searched for a token, a sign,  
He goes looking, memories of their time, a clue to what was once divine.

But in his search, he found nothing, an empty space, a void,  
A gallery of silence, memories destroyed.  
In this mysterious absence, Mari stood, heart torn and bare,  
Haunted by a love story that seemed like it was never really there.
