In a world where the boundaries between dreams and reality blur, the landscapes stretch infinitely, defined by towering ruins, watchful celestial orbs, and shifting skies. The forgotten remains of ancient civilizations rise from the cracked earth, whispering of stories long lost. The colossal eye that peers from the ruins isn’t just a window; it’s a gatekeeper to the subconscious, watching and waiting. Each step the traveler takes reverberates across dimensions, as though the universe itself recognizes the presence of an outsider. The path, illuminated by an otherworldly glow, winds through floating cities and abyssal chasms. The air is thick with the weight of dreams unspoken and fears unmet.

The sun never sets nor rises; instead, it burns with a molten fury, locked in perpetual twilight. Time seems inconsequential here, as the traveler’s footsteps crunch across brittle remains of once-thriving empires. Pillars carved with symbols of an unknown language stand guard, their purpose a mystery. This is not a place meant for mortals, yet the traveler is drawn forward by an unseen force—a calling, a quest to uncover the truth behind the surreal world.

With each passing hour—or what feels like an hour—the landscapes twist and evolve. An eye carved into the ruins weeps golden light, illuminating a pathway shrouded in mist. The traveler pauses, their silhouette dwarfed by the immense, surreal architecture. Beyond lies an infinite void, where the line between creation and destruction blurs. What lies at the end of this journey? Redemption, revelation, or perhaps oblivion? The unreal dreams continue, a testament to the boundless nature of the human imagination.

First released on CD in 2000, this double album collected most of the seminal cuts of Mindfield from 994-1999, across several lineups.

Mindfield were at the centre of the Goa Trance explosion in London in the mid '90s, performing firstly all over the UK and eventually worldwide.
The original lineup paired studio heads Simon Carman & John Ford with proto scenesters Mark Allen & DJ Chrisbo. Mark & Chris were part of the influential Pagan party crew before Mark became resident DJ at Return To The Source - ground zero for the scene in London at the time.
Around '96 Chrisbo left to join Medicine Drum & Mark left to concentrate on RTTS & his burgeoning DJ career, leaving core members John & Simon to continue as Mindfield and concentrate on running their London based Phantasm & Psychic Deli imprints.

Sadly after a battle with leukaemia Simon died in 1997.. John enlisted his friend musician Ben Wilkin to the fold in '98 before taking the reins alone around 2000. He continues to perform live as Mindfiled & DJ as John Phantasm to the present day.
