Music Video | ‘URBAN ART Tribute’ 

​Filmed and crafted by Cid Travaglia across twelve countries during eight years, diving into the street art universe and showing a special selection of Street Art and Graffiti from international artists (credits bellow).

The song ‘Urban Art’ is the voice of the people that appreciates Graffiti and Street Art, and NAPALMA speaks in their name to express our gratitude to the Artists, for making the cities more colorful, political, exciting and soulful, touching people’s life day by day.

The EP ‘URBAN ART Tribute’ brings ‘Urban Art’ Original Mix + Instrumental Mix + Three Remixes, specially produced by Luna City Express (Berlin), Infrared (Paris), Gus What (Vitória). 

‘Urban Art’ is an uplifting song with a driving Tech House base, beautiful melodies with catchy vocal lines from Senegalese singer Abass Ndiaye and pulsing percussions  including djembe and recycled instruments.

The Berlin label LONA Musik is our partner in this project.

NAPALMA’s 'Sunu Warëf' Release has a strong connection with the Amazon rainforest'. A stunning Music Video takes the band to the heart of the Amazon Rainforest, a breathtaking scenery and legit footage in a partnership with Herve Neukomm, a swiss traveller that crossed the whole Amazon river during five years in a Bike-Boat (a boat propelled by a bicycle).

‘Sunu Warëf’ is an uplifting electronic, percussive and groovy song with a Caribbean spice, and has beautiful melodies with catchy vocal lines from West Africa, and lyrics are in Wolof, one of the languages from Senegal, which means “Our Mission”, each person has the own Mission in life. 

The Album is a powerful international pack where different styles and backgrounds are fused, containing ‘Sunu Warëf’ OriginalMix + Six Remixes, produced by SucreSoul (South Africa), Infrared (France), Mista Monk (Australia), Jaspe (France), Kokkosh (Egypt) and Leandro Bonfim (Brazil). 

The music production was crafted by Marcel Dadalto and Cid Travaglia, in Berlin.

The artwork is a creation from Brazilian Designer and Tattoo Artist Rodrigo Tas.

Brazil meets Senegal in Berlin
 

The collaboration between NAPALMA and the senegalese singer Abass Ndiaye has produced an exciting Chemistry of Music. 

The new song 'Gëstou' means ‘To Learn’ in Wolof, it has an uplifting energy for the dance floors with "cross-over vibes'', powerful and captivating electronic arrangements, synths blending with percussive Afro-Brazilian grooves and inspired vocal melodies from West Africa.
 
‘NAPALMA - Gëstou - feat. Abass Ndiaye' comes with the Original Mix and the Instrumental Mix, released by LONA Musik, a Berlin Label, and supported by the GVL Scholarship Program, part of NEUSTART KULTUR.

​Brazilian Cid Travaglia is the driving force and co-producer behind the electronic programming, percussionist, and curator putting together a network of different vocalists and musicians. In concerts & in studio, NAPALMA is a dynamic and collaborative project with electronic beats, live percussion, while maintaining the multicultural identity and energy for the dance floors.

Brazil meets Senegal in Berlin.

'Yobalema' is the first material with the new singer Abass Ndiaye from Senegal, who brought lyrics in Wolof, influences and melodies from West Africa, which gave a whole new shape to the Duo, but maintaining the multicultural identity and the energy for the dance floors with powerful and captivating electronic arrangements, varied percussions by Brazilian Cid Travaglia on djembe, alfaia, shakers, talking drum and recycled instruments like water bottles or a milk pot. 

NAPALMA 'Yobalema EP' has the Launch on 14/08, and brings ‘Yobalema OriginalMix + Six Remixes’, produced by Marc Brauner from Germany, Mista Monk from Australia, Mogo Naaba representing Togo / South Africa, Sandman FR from France, Gutto Serta from Brazil / Berlin and The Phat Ones from South Africa, and as a bonus track it is offered the Instrumental OriginalMix. 

'Yobalema EP' is a powerful international pack where different styles and backgrounds are fused, a modern WorldBeat and Electronic Music with an original and unique formula, reflecting the eclectic verve that made NAPALMA feature in the line up of Montreux Jazz Festival, Boom Festival and the Cairo Opera House. 


'Yobalema' is sung in Wolof from Senegal and it means ‘Take me With You’, it is about two soul mates complementing each other in a relation that No One can separate between friends, couples and partners.

The music production was crafted by Marcel Dadalto and Cid Travaglia, featuring Daniel Zabon from Germany/ Kenya on saxophone and Mogo Naaba from Togo/ South Africa on synths. 

'Yobalema EP' is released by LONA MUSIK, the newest record company in Berlin.

Based in Berlin, NAPALMA mixes Afro-Brazilian sounds and percussions, electronic beats, brass and eclectic vocals, creating an explosion of grooves conceived with a unique and original formula that started in Brazil in 2004 and broke boundaries living in African Continent for one decade (South Africa and Mozambique), while building an international career doing performances in more than 30 countries.
