The legendary Sonica Dance Festival took for the first time place in the beautiful valley of Tramonti di Sotto in Northern Italy. The stunning landscape, the mild climate and the crystal clear water equally contributed to the festival such as the well balanced and very tasteful line up (with 9 Sangoma Records acts involved !!). I had the honour to play in the first night of the festival, before one of my favorite forest-music producers these days, Meerkut from France. I must say have not had such a vivid and euphoric dancefloor in a long time, Italians truly know how to party and channel their first-night-euphoria into some truly exuberant dancing-activities. Thanks to everybody who made it! Psy-Mr.Psy-Mr. Aka Roy Saporito, is an Italian producer who started his music career as an apprentice Dj for the local radio when he was just 13 y.o. He soon discovered l techno/electronic parties and start spinning in clubs. In 2001 he left that environmnent for goa psytrance music and started playing at many parties in Northern Italy, where the scene was very lively. His passion for music, dance and fun brought him to play to neighbouring Switzerland as well. Playing with renown national and international Live acts since 2007, Psy-Mr started his own project in 2011, raising from humble beginnings to a very sought after project that keeps growing. Since then, Psy-Mr has released tracks with Shamanic Records, Eleusys Rec, Creative Jungle Rec and Dreamproject Records and in 2012 he started a new project with his friend Caveman. In 2013 he presented his new live set and joined Visionary Shamanics Records. Psy- Mr. is constantly working on producing music, both psytrance and downtempo, he just released 2 tracks with Purple Hexagon Records on the new compilation Purple Pixan and a collaboration together with Naan for a downtempo various is on the way.

Next up on Bom Shanka Music series is SYNTHETIK CHAOS. His brand new mix includes a lot of VS and some tracks from the next Syntetik Chaos album.

Synthetik Chaos is Yan, a French psytrance music producer. His influences come from different kinds of music (mainly electronical) such as: Aphex Twin, Slide, Richard Devine, Nick Taylor, Ministry, Droid Sect, Sonic Youth etc. all these influences & many experimentations in the lab results in a combination of heavy groovy twisted basslines & electroid rhythms, psychotic soundz & bizarre noises, with always in mind to keep the dance floor as a recreation ground!
He has already released some tracks on several labels including Pixan, Peak, Sangoma,SquareLab music and has collaborated with some killa artists such as Electrypnose, Dirty Saffi, Illegal Machines and Asimilon…. he performed in many countries in Europe & around the globe (USA, Russia, Costa Rica, Brazil, Canada, Cyprus, Dubai, UK, Germany, Italy, Croatia etc.) Keep watching for him via the usual channels for more appearances around the world and an album is in preparation for 2018 on Bom Shanka Music!

SYNTHETIK CHAOS | Bom Shanka Music Series #13 | 25/08/2017

Forestdelic Records series continues with an exclusive mix by label-DJ, GUWANEJ.

Guwanej ( Dj and Producer ) is Sven Pape, born in Munich. In the early 90¥s he had his first contacts with music and mostly loved oldies and 80s sounds, later he listened to Dance, Happy Hardcore and various electronic music styles influenced by ethnic world music. In ’97 he visited the legendary Natraj Temple in Munich and fell in love with Goa Trance in all of it’s art forms, and soon after he started also playing it as a Dj around Munich and Frankfurt. 2013 he becomes part of the ìAlice in Wummerlandî parties, the biggest party series in the south of Germany as a resident Dj, and also starts playing on international gigs like in Turkey, Netherlands, Sweden, Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czech Republik and Switzerland as well as local gigs.
Today his unique sets are filled up with fullpower twilight and forest music. They often change from progressive tunes to melodic and crackling tracks. He is now a member of Forestdelic Records and Psycana Records. In 2017 he released his first own Tracks on different EP¥s.
