Gliding in through the Deutsche bass-biome, we gladly present label newcomer, @genus-aix (aka Jost Wessel). Welding true to the INDEX:essence™, “Heavy Metal, Solid State” is a spectrum of sonic winds. Migrating across 5 low-end rifters, Wessel sound-designs a liquefaction of moods that weave in and out of various textures and inspirations. The result is a shimmering dramaturgy that has the feel of a well plotted mini-album — a start-to-finish 'xperience and a fledgling tease into the talents of Genus Aix.

it is a spirit moving across open water. on a watery bridge of the hot blue moon

i row my boat to your island, a small wooden boat; this water connects us

you are the center of your own little island, and i am of mine. whenever i visit you, we share a beautiful c0sm0s with everyone on your island: your ancestors who breathed water and your imaginary friends with harps. They all have multiple genders

the moon seems distant, but its gravity pulls at every point on earth. every molecule of water is affected

a tide washes the surface of the mirror of soul, calling for a brighter picture

The final katharsis release of 2024 is the 26-track compilation “Physical Force” featuring a wide range of affiliated artists from both the international and local Copenhagen electronic music scene. As the title hints, Physical Force delves into the visceral, bodily aspects of music, inviting its contributors to explore the theme of movement as a central element in their compositions. Each artist was encouraged to focus on rhythm, groove, energy, and the physicality of sound, which resulted in drum-heavy release from start to finish. While there is a consistent emphasis on rhythm and a bodily connection to the music, the tracks vary widely in style and sonic texture, ranging from big melodic anthems, gritty experimental techno, heavy jungle bangers, and beyond.

Time for another installment of Radio Brainless – this time with ECCO.EXE, aka Mateusz Cencelek, behind the decks. A young but unruly representative of the Tri-City underground, whose selections can make even the dankest basement come alive. He's the founder of the 22myjnia22 space, where concrete, sweat, and bass form a unique atmosphere – dense, raw, and unfiltered.

On a daily basis, he's devoted to old-school techno from the late '90s and early 2000s, but beneath the surface lurks his second nature – a demon of deconstructed bass. In his sets, he gracefully blends club pulses, hard drums, broken rhythms, and deep, heavy bass. Intense, dynamic, uncompromising – these are sounds that don’t ask for permission, they drag you straight to the dancefloor.
