DOHRA

ਜੇ ਜੇ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਕੋ ਨਿਤ ਉਠਿ ਧਿਐਹੈ ਸੰਤ ॥
(ਹੇ ਦੇਵੀ ਮਾਤਾ!) ਜੋ ਜੋ ਸੰਤ ਨਿੱਤ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰਨਗੇ,
All those saints, who will ever meditate on Thee

ਅੰਤ ਲਹੈਗੇ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਵਹਿਗੇ ਭਗਵੰਤ ॥੬॥੨੬੨॥
(ਉਹ) ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਰੂਪੀ ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਣਗੇ, (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਅਭੇਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ) ॥੬॥੨੬੨॥
They will attain salvation at the end and will realize the Lord.6.262.

ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਨੈ ॥
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਭਗਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਠੇ ਪਹਿਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ, 
Twenty-four hours a day, he knows the Lord to be near at hand;

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਕੀਆ ਮੀਠਾ ਮਾਨੈ ॥
ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹੈ । 
he surrenders to the Sweet Will of God.

ਏਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੰਤਨ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥
ਹੇ ਵੀਰ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ (ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ) ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ (ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ) ਹੈ । 
The One Name is the Support of the Saints;

ਹੋਇ ਰਹੇ ਸਭ ਕੀ ਪਗ ਛਾਰੁ ॥੧॥
ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਬਣੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ।੧।
they remain the dust of the feet of all. ||1||

ਐਸਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਰਾਮੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ !) ਮੇਰਾ ਰਾਮ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ ।
Such is my Lord, who is all-pervading everywhere.

ਨਿਕਟਿ ਵਸੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਦੂਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਉਹ (ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਦੇ) ਨੇੜੇ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ (ਕਿਸੇ ਭੀ ਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਉਹ ਹਰੀ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
He dwells near at hand - the Lord is not far away. ||1||Pause||

ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਸਰਬ ਘਟਾ ਭਰਪੂਰੀ ਰੇ ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਗਰੀਬਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇਹੜਾ ਦਇਆ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਹੈ, ਜੇਹੜਾ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ, ਜੇਹੜਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ, ਜੇਹੜਾ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਰਮ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ (ਸਭ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਰਜ਼ੋਈਆਂ) ਸੁਣਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ 
The Compassionate Lord is Merciful to the meek, the ocean of peace; He fills all hearts.

ਪੇਖਤ ਸੁਨਤ ਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਸੰਗੇ ਮੈ ਮੂਰਖ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਦੂਰੀ ਰੇ ॥੨॥
ਮੈਂ ਮੂਰਖ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਤੇ ਦੂਰ-ਵੱਸਦਾ ਸਮਝ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ।੨।
He sees, hears, and is always with me; but I am a fool, and I think that He is far away. ||2||

ਮੋਹਿ ਮੋਹਿਆ ਜਾਨੈ ਦੂਰਿ ਹੈ ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ) ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਿਆ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ (ਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਕਿਤੇ) ਦੂਰ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ । 
Infatuated with emotional attachment, they think that God is far away.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦਾ ਹਦੂਰਿ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੩੯॥
(ਪਰ) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ—ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਦਾ (ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਅੰਗ ਸੰਗ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ।੪।੧।੧੩੯।
Says Nanak, he is Ever-present! ||4||1||139||

ਜਹ ਜਹ ਪੇਖਉ ਤਹ ਹਜੂਰਿ ਦੂਰਿ ਕਤਹੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
ਭਾਈ! ਮੈਂ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ-ਨਾਜ਼ਰ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਭੀ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ । 
Wherever I look, there I see Him present; He is never far away.

ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਰਬਤ੍ਰ ਮੈ ਮਨ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਈ ॥੧॥
ਹੇ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ! ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਕਰ, ਜੇਹੜਾ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ।੧।
He is all-pervading, everywhere; O my mind, meditate on Him forever. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਨਿਤ ਧਿਆਈ ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ) ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਧਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਣ ਜੋਗਾ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ)
Meditate continually on the Name of the Lord within your heart.

ਸੰਗੀ ਸਾਥੀ ਸਗਲ ਤਰਾਂਈ ॥੧॥
ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਗੀਆਂ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ (ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ) ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾਣ ਜੋਗਾ ਬਣ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ।੧।
Thus you shall save all your companions and associates. ||1||

ਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਰੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਨਾਲੇ ॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮੇਰਾ) ਗੁਰੂ ਸਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹ
My Guru is always with me, near at hand.

ਭਗਤੁ ਵਡਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਜਨਕੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਚਿ ਉਦਾਸੀ।

ਦੇਵ ਲੋਕ ਨੋ ਚਲਿਆ ਗਣ ਗੰਧਰਬੁ ਸਭਾ ਸੁਖਵਾਸੀ।

ਜਮਪੁਰਿ ਗਇਆ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਸੁਣਿ ਵਿਲਲਾਵਨਿ ਜੀਅ ਨਰਕ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ।


ਧਰਮਰਾਇ ਨੋ ਆਖਿਓਨੁ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਰਿ ਬੰਦ ਖਲਾਸੀ।


ਕਰੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਧਰਮਰਾਇ ਹਉ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ।

ਗਹਿਣੇ ਧਰਿਓਨੁ ਇਕੁ ਨਾਉ ਪਾਪਾ ਨਾਲਿ ਕਰੈ ਨਿਰਜਾਸੀ।

ਪਾਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਪੁ ਨ ਪੁਜਨੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਉ ਅਤੁਲ ਨ ਤੁਲਾਸੀ।

ਨਰਕਹੁ ਛੁਟੇ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਕਟੀ ਗਲਹੰੁ ਸਿਲਕ ਜਮ ਫਾਸੀ।


ਮੁਕਤਿ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਨਾਵੈ ਦੀ ਦਾਸੀ ॥੫॥
All the creatures got liberated from hell and the noose of death was cut.  Liberation and the technique of attaining it are the servants of the name of the Lord.
