Zo heb ik als benjamin goed kunnen luisteren naar wat de ‘grote jongens’ Albert Schoemaker en Jos Klaster in de late 80’s deden. Dit heeft bijgedragen aan mijn muzikale vorming. Sommige nummers pakten me direct, soms heb ik ze pas veel later leren waarderen. In de mix wat van deze all-time favorites(veelal in een nieuw jasje).

This month I played ClubNL, Nul33 and kingsday with Dina, Orson and de Oudheerbroeders. 
A couple of days in the highlands of Schotland helped me to remind what kind of music I really like to play. Not played with a goal to please the entire crowd but for the people who appreciate a set just a little different. Not the mainstream tracks but searching a little of the beaten path.
So after a busy month it's time to remenisce and contemplate.
I got inspired by a track given to me by Robèr, At ClubNL BasF played Doppelwhipper, a track I already knew but got forgotten in the ongoing stream of new music. And offcourse there's Orson Welsh... at the boat he played a track by Tom Staar that I had to use, so we go out with a bang!!
However all tunes give me a warm and happy feeling. Perfect for those sunny springtime days (and nights).
