This song is for anyone who's ever been in a relationship that was best described as "it's complicated". I wrote it about someone that I was dating on and off for a couple years during a time that we were "off" again. It's a very nostalgic song that reminisces about the highlights of our relationship. In hindsight, it's easy to find yourself missing a person when all you can seem to remember is the good, and none of the bad. The lyrics are a confession of love that I couldn't seem to articulate at the time.
