Played Backdoor in Stockholm last night. Did a lot of contenplating drive back home listening to the artist that made the biggest and most profound changes, discoveries and impact in, and on my life. 

George Michael "Hand To Mouth" sometime in the morning i on a casette tape in Aspnäs Garaget in Jakobsberg on a CD-player 1996 at Karolinska Sjukhuset when my first daughter Emelina did her entry in to this world. I got to see you in real life, your vocie. 

Like no other artist ever, so beautiful and perfect as it could be and it was live every tone every feeling. You showed me, you saw me and you open with Waiting (reprise) my absolute no 1 track you ever made. And you know what? You predicted the future, my future.

Unblock presents it's 7th release with another solid vinyl offering with this 4 track EP by two well established and respected producers. Tato (who also has his own success with his label Isgud Records) on the A side, and TIJN (Label boss of other vinyl only outlets such as In Haus Wax & self titled TIJN) on the B side.
A1.Estic has a deep underground percussive tribal balearic feel to it with rolling cool dark melodic synths and infectious moody pads that carry the energy solidly throughout the track
A2. Lusyormaind has a slightly lighter feel while still maintaining a deep groove over an intelligent key riff, a dirty baseline with a padded wholesome kick and a dark and sexy hypnotic arrangement with hat patterns providing that bit of light.
B1 . Tijn: Stranger Things has a lovely smooth authentic original house vibe with subliminal whispers. The hats and snares carry the swing seamlessly throughout this track.
B2. Piano Loop has a summer sunshine vibe to it with a pleasant repetitive warm piano loop layered with bright but smooth percussion over a subtle but effective baseline.

You can hear the signature sound of both artists across  3 of the tracks and the combination is really quite something special plus a solo production from Sneak. The track High has 3 versions Original, Dub and Organ, which all offer a completely different sound making all 3 mixes worthy of keeping in the box. The solo Sneak track has his staple sound all over taking it back to his roots with an energetic snare stomping accompanied by Spanish vocal snippets that pop in and out and a surprising baseline that surfaces occasionally in the arrangement.  This EP can only be described as a piece of pure decent underground house music with rolling baselines, swing and brilliantly rhythmic percussion throughout.
