The EP consists of two takes – Tao Andra's original, and Simina Grigoriu's remix. The original is a fast- forward, raving statement with cheeky energy and a dark base, while the remix offers a brighter take with the hi-hat at the fore. The wait is over; Victor Ruiz is back with a bang with his latest release, ‘Touch The Darkness,’ an enthralling three-track EP to be unleashed on his VOLTA label on 21st April 2023. Previous releases on VOLTA have seen the likes of ANDATA, Balthazar & JackRock, Christian Smith, and more feature on the label, making it one of the most exciting and fastest-growing imprints in the techno space. And with ‘Touch The Darkness’, Victor Ruiz has once again proven that he is one of the game’s most talented and innovative producers.

Known for his unique blend of peak-time techno, acid, and melodic mastery, Victor Ruiz has once again delivered a stunning masterpiece that showcases his talent and versatility as a producer. The EP features three tracks that are sure to get your heart racing, each bringing its unique flavour to the table.

The EP starts with the title track, ‘Touch The Darkness’, a pulsating techno track filled with ethereal sounds and driving beats that will get any dancefloor moving. Next is ‘The Alchemist’, an acid-laced masterpiece showcasing Ruiz’s ability to create emotional and powerful tracks. Rounding off the EP is ‘Oblivion’, a dark and brooding cut that will transport you to the outer limits of the galaxy.

Simina Grigoriu's record label, Kuukou drops a dark and driving acid techno track from the legendary Tom Wax.
Tom Wax is a German techno artist whose career spans back to the '90s. He has been a DJ for over three decades and has influenced future generations with his explosive style of acid techno on labels like the classic R&S Records to modern-day hits on Filth On Acid.
He has also released music under the aliases of DJ Tom & Norman, Arpeggiators and Microbots. Many also know his collaborations with other iconic techno artists such as Kai Tracid and A*S*Y*S.
"BangBee" is the solo track on this release and it blends explosive bursts of acid with a thundering kick drum and thrashing high-end percussion. The pulsating bassline and dramatic, ominous synth stabs add to the unfolding intricacy of this high-velocity techno track.

Panamanian DJ/Producer Bruce Zalcer is undeniably one of South America’s most exciting Techno talents. With an impressive catalogue of releases on labels like Tronic, Odd Recordings, Kneaded Pains, Riot Recordings and many more, Bruce is primed for his debut outing on Victor Ruiz’s increasingly popular VOLTA imprint. His two-track “Catharsis” EP, set for release on 27th October, gives us another worthy slice of Zalcer’s dynamic production skills, showcasing an immense depth of creativity.
Kicking things off with the title cut, “Catharsis” sports an immersive blend of celestial musicality and urgent Techno rhythms. Firm drum grooves and hissing hat sequences drive the central core of the track as it bleeds in and out of several atmospheric soundscapes and climactic crescendos to carve out a corrosive and intense acid-tinged peak-time bomb.
Next up, “Truly Yours” completes the release with another masterful display of captivating arrangement and mainstage energy. Emphasising its intricate core of layered pads, sirenic vocals and raw synth lines, its continuum of rolling tonal percs and weighty beat structure bring everything together to complete an imposing VOLTA debut for Zalcer.

Simina Grigoriu continues to expand on the Kuukou catalogue, adding to a treasure chest of wrought-iron club tracks with an impassioned EP courtesy of Italian producer Devid Dega.
Dega's tracks have found their way into some highly esteemed record bags over the years and have been road tested by the likes of Adam Beyer, Dubfire, Richie Hawtin and Maceo Plex. He writes bold and purposeful club music that manages to convey a certain sincerity whilst packing an undeniable punch.
His 'Even The Truth' expands on this canon and presents 2 very different sides of a coin. The title track kicks things off with a dense, metallic kick driven under rich chords and an emotive vocal line. Break downs give way to dramatic drops before 'Spinner' finishes up with a caustic, urgent Techno track.
