This album signals a triumphant return to writing and collaborating for Natalie, with tracks on the album co-written with Dave Brewer, Pete Stone and Howie Morgan. From her early days performing as a backing vocalist with Yothu Yindi, through an acclaimed solo career performing around Australia and Internationally, this release represents a homecoming of sorts for Natalie.
“I have loved the utter madness of creating this album. It has dragged me kicking and screaming through my own vulnerability, and tossed me out the other side feeling bruised, but brave. This project has definitely been a wild ride, and I’ve been supported every step of the way by the most incredible people. I feel as though this is my true musical awakening,” says Gillespie of Courage to Love.
