When I first heard '7 years' off of Charli XCX's groundbreaking album 'how i'm feeling now' I was IMMEDIATELY blow away from the opening vocals. I'm a huge sucker for crunchy vocal harmonies so when Charli released all of the stems for fans to remix I KNEW that I had to get in there and go absolutely NUTS!

I pumped up the vocals, especially the harmonies, added some extra harmonies via vocoder and gave the whole thing a 80s flare. I really wanted to create a giant lush soundscape so that the natural emotion of Charli's voice could really shine!
