20 bands from all over the world donated their tracks to the Make Music Stop War humanitarian compilation.  Some songs were written exclusively for this unique compilation.  All funds from the sale of this album will be directed to the purchase of food and medicine for the affected residents of Ukraine as a result of Russian military aggression. The cover for this compilation uses a painting by Ukrainian artist Yury Vatkin, who from the first day to the present moment has been with his family in Ukraine at the epicenter of the fighting, his settlement occupied by the Russian army is in one of the hottest spots, under constant shelling, without  electricity, access to food and medicine.
The money you spend on buying the Make Music Stop War compilation, or donate directly, will be used to fund local initiatives and controlled by the founder of the project. Apart from the Bandcamp and payment processor fees, there are no other expenses levied on money donated - we used our own funds for promotion, and will share all initiatives financed through the project on our Facebook page. This is a better way to help Ukrainians locked in the war zone - your money will not be used on expensive headquarters, executive salaries or advertising, it will reach those in need.

Ken Fan reveals cinematic deep house single ‘Mariwo’. The British-Chinese artist enlisted Anders Ponsaing for the production of the track, which features keys by composer Troels Hammer and vocals sung in Bantú by Iyami Aje.

‘Mariwo’ showcases Fan’s knack for the warm and soulful flavors. The gorgeous vocals mount on soaring pads and a grand sweeping piano motif while a velvety bass drum pulses away.

The single is the second taste of Ken Fan’s forthcoming album on Music For Dreams, following last month’s ‘Under The Moon’.

Mikkel Hess, alias Hess Is More, continues the run up to his forthcoming album with the single ‘Sometimes You Get Lucky’, dropping March 26 via Music For Dreams.

Hess recently returned from performing a series of ensemble concerts in New York and now sets his sights on his home of Denmark with several shows lined up, among them a sold out release concert at Hotel Cecil. The album, titled CÆKE, will drop April 23 and sees Hess return as (mostly) solo act.

Trained as a drummer, Hess started Hess Is More as an electronic solo project in the mid 00’s and has since evolved into a larger ensemble featuring musicians from both sides of the Atlantic. Hess Is More has released 10 albums and several EP’s and cross-disciplinary works in a career spanning two decades.

Hess Is More has received high acclaim as a live act, winning multiple awards for their cross-disciplinarian shows that often feature elements of theater and art installation.
