This was written as an idea for a piece of title screen music for a game soundtrack. A flute carries the melody and strings provide a lush background. It sounds full, and promises a game full of adventure and excitement. 

Sweet Melody

As the title suggests this was a piece written to be a backing track to a happy seaside setting. The active melody line in the tin whistle, fiddle and trumpet conjures up images of sun, sand, water and enjoyment, while the drums provide a rhythm to keep driving the beat forwards.

Seaside

This was written following a strict Concerto Grosso form, however the melody itself is not traditional, nor is the use of brass instruments. The flute is the Soloist and is accompanied by baroque instruments such as strings and harpsichord. The music is quite uplifting though dramatically minor at times.

Flute Concerto

This piece began as an exploration of the canon, a popular classical musical device but turned into something more complex as unusual combinations of instruments were experimented with. Each section begins slowly and carefully, like a dance, and then gradually builds in intensity.

Dance Of A Solemn Faerie


This a sample of the piece written for a full orchestra. This piece explores the price and adventure of immortality. It is quite powerful, bold and dramatic, but has undercurrents that suggest not is all as wonderful as it could seem. 

Immortality

This piece was intended as a soundtrack for a desert scene. The modes used invoke a middle eastern, sandy landscape. The fast pace is meant to convey a sense of urgency you might feel if you were stuck in the desert and needed to escape quickly.  

Mariachi

This piece is written for a string quartet in ternary form. The rise and fall of the melody in both dynamics and contour, reflects the highs and lows of emotion in our day to day lives.
