So number 6 is finally here! I wasn't sure I was even going to get a mix out this month due to some technical issues with my 1st recording but it actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise ;)

This mix has a little bit of everything in it… Vocals, breaks and indie/nu disco(esque)vibes... I never know what to call my 'sound' as it really just shadows my mood at the time and changes every month so whatever you wanna call it....  I hope you dig it :)

Hi guys 

So lucky number 7 huh? This one is very breaks laden and a somewhat 'vocal' journey.... it kind of feels like it would be the perfect soundtrack to the beginning of any club night. I have definitely noticed recently that I tend to play quite a different sound when I'm playing at home as opposed to when I'm playing to a crowded dance floor and this set reflects that :) 

Like usual I have mixed up some new and not so new tracks by my favourite artists at the moment such as Framewerk, LEV, Eli & Fur, Betical, Sasha & Franky Wah, Robert Babicz, Audiojack and more.

G'day everyone!

So to help me celebrate my 1st anniversary of GLOBAL DANCE MUSIC COLLECTIVE the legends from FRAMEWERK have made an exclusive mix just for us which includes some unreleased gems we can all salivate over! ;)


To simply call this mix ‘beautiful’ doesn’t even come close to doing it justice as it meanders through a sublime and emotive breaks laden dream that is filled with euphoric vocals that will pull on your every heart string. 

I'd like the say a HUGE thank you to Darren and Alec for this incredible mix and for just being awesome humans! When you collide with kindred and humble souls who share a passion for the same thing it really does create magic :)

With over two decades of experience behind her Bean Cuenca has had the pleasure of playing at some of Melbourne & Ibiza’s most iconic nightclubs and festivals. PFG The Progcast - Episode 79 - Bean Cuenca

Hey peeps,

So it’s bean a hot minute since my last ‘RHYTHM OF DREAMS’ show right? but… I’m baaaaack baby!! 😜

I decided to jump off the 3/4 breaks train for a change so it’s all 4 to the floor on this one. It’s a little different for me… It starts off rather hot and heavy with some dirty 80’s synth and piano inde-house vibes which meander every so gently through to my usual melodic prog-pit.

I guess I just wanted to play the kind of music that has been putting a smile on my dial whilst being locked up. This set is full of hope for summer and cocktails in the sun with my mates (hopefully) ❤️

So 1st mix of the year huh? I’ve gotta admit that I haven’t really bean ‘feeling it’ lately and honestly didn’t think I would get anything out at all this month but here we are…

This mix was made last night on the fly with tracks I just felt went together organically so it’s full of pretty HUGE older tracks meshed in with some new ones.. No promos or anything fancy like that…. 

It’s rather ‘raw’ and only a mini-mix of 40mins or so but I’ve kept myself super busy looping the whole way through etc...

SYNTHETIC DREAMS GUEST MIX #01 - BEAN - PROTON RADIO

Hi guys,

So I [FINALLY] got a new mix out for my RHYTHM OF DREAMS series this month. To be completely transparent; I’ve really been struggling with ‘music anxiety’ this year… if that’s even a thing? 

This mix is quite left field for me I guess. It’s still all 3/4 breaksy stuff but played at 131 bpms so its 100% a different pace to my usual sets of late. I feel like it's a mini love story of my love/hate relationship with music right now and how it can both enamour and crush me all at once..

I am CLEARLY in some kind of limbo land at the moment...  I don’t know what I want to play anymore but this is where I am today so I hope you enjoy it…

Hey Guys,

I can't believe its bean 6 months since my last mix! This was recorded live last weekend at my supporting gig with JAMIE STEVENS at RIPPLE alongside all of my oldest and dearest friends from the BIG:RED:BUS.

Rainbow Serpent Festival 2019 App Mix

So here is the recording of my Rainbow Serpent set for 2019. Words cannot really describe the feeling of being back up there on that stage with so many old & new faces smiling back up at me! I'd like to thank every single one of you legends for being there on that dance floor supporting me & pushing me back to my 1st true love...  music.

With over two decades of experience behind her BEAN has had the pleasure of playing at some of Melbourne’s most iconic night clubs & festivals (including Qbar, Candy Bar, Brown Alley, Earthcore, Seven, MyAeon, Radar, Earthdance & the infamous Rainbow Serpent Festival (numerous times). She has supported a plethora of International DJ greats including: DNox, Infected Mushroom, Tiefschwarz, Peace Division, Fatali, Subandrio, Captain Hook & Simon Dunmore to name a few.

She has also hosted her own radio show on Melbourne’s most progressive underground dance music radio station, KISS FM & held down numerous weekly residences in Ibiza as well as monthly residencies in both London & Rome.

Her sound is heavily influenced by Progressive house legends Sasha and Digweed as well as both Nick Warren & Dave Seaman & and just like her mentors she revels in taking her punters on a journey.

I never get the chance to play house anymore....

When I was living in Ibiza that's all i played as there wasn't anywhere that wanted to hear my usual proggy sound. This mix was done 'on the fly' so it wasn't programmed and may not be "perfect" and some mixes may not be "in key" but hey.... i'm only human :)

I've decided to make this mix public because well... 
I dig it.... flaws and all... & i need to start to learn that nobody is perfect!

Yay!!! So my 1st mix as resident with the Progressive House UK crew is finally up for everyone to enjoy. I truely am humbled by winning the comp in the 1st place & now again by the kind words shared about my 1st mix.

RHYTHM OF DREAMS Vol 002

So, 2020 huh? What a year we would all like to forget! However, throughout all of those dark days of lockdowns (Melbourne recording one of the toughest on record; 112 days!) there was always one constant; music. Whether it was watching some of my favourite DJs playing from the comfort of their own homes or listening to all the incredibly talented producers out there that have managed to keep us all sane! Thank you :)

PROGRESSIVE HEAVEN GUEST MIX

Hey guys!!

So number 4 huh?? This mix is a little bit experimental to be fair. This was recorded on my first attempt, ‘on the fly' & not really 'programmed'. I decided to give it a little 'nudge' in terms of mixing and looping this time around using tracks I like.. some old… some new…. one unreleased! I wasn’t sure if I was happy with it to be honest because the mixing might be a little wacky and somewhat 'raw' but i'm pretty much mixing the whole way through this..... I guess I just wanted to attempt trying something a little different like looping over breakdowns to add some extra layering and using my channel switch to chop and change... I used to play like this when I 1st started learning to mix records because I didn't have enough money to buy headphones and cutting my channel switch was the only way I could hear what was going on.... !! whether i'm convinced it works is yet to be decided… ;)

Aaaaaanyways…. THIS is the result…
