"Today we will start the show with a conversation with painter Joshua Abelow who is based in Harris, New York--that's in Sullivan County--about his experience founding and organizing his project Freddy. Freddy was first founded in Baltimore Maryland, the artist's homestate. Then, Six years ago, he purchased and restored a vacant church in the town of Harris, where the gallery is now based. 

During the pandemic, the gallery has been hybernating--with only two shows mounted in the past two years--but will open a solo exhibition by Cheryl Donegan on the 14th of this month. 

Abelow currently has five solo and two-person exhibitions on view: Zoom at Jir Sandel, Copenhagen, Joshua Abelow: 1982-2022 at Baader-Meinhof, Omaha, Nebraska, Joshua
