A true slow burner, Alkaline’s sharp percussion, stripped groove and spacious analogue vibe are deceptively subtle, until an eventual crescendo delivers when it counts the most.

A perfect introduction to the Ord Rede sound, Alkaline is complemented by two other innovative Australian remixers in a release sure to please longtime Open fans.

Melbourne’s Lateral takes a more direct route on the first rework, with his pounding mainfloor interpretation perfect for festival sunrises and sweaty clubs alike.

Finally, Canberra’s Doppel leaves behind the lush vibes of his smash hit single Melt on Open, replacing them with twisted effects, swung percussion and a grinding, mechanical groove.

The world has completely changed massively in the last 7 months and to represent this difference in time, I have created a 60 min journey of sounds made up of some of my favourite songs from last year to symbolise and capture the feeling of life from then compared to now. We welcome in 2021 with a beautiful, collaborative piece by Australian legends Axon and Max Von (aka Sumiruna & Bumble) coming out on local underground label, Synaesthetics. 

The musicality and production prowess between these two legends is nothing short of astounding. Together they have created one of the most emotive pieces of underground, progressive dance music we've heard in a while. The track's main riff derives from an elegant acoustic string instrument, which is backed up by soft, yet captivating percussion work, creative transitional effects and graceful aerosphere pads that transports our imagination into the blissful unknown.
