VARIA is pleased to present the next episode in its podcast series, featuring Auspex.

Having cut his teeth in Brooklyn's warehouse scene, Auspex has become a fixture of NYC's underground techno community and a tireless presence in the city's queer nightlife.

His vision of techno as ritual, darkly throbbing, hypnotic and cathartic, comes alive in sets that weave long, mind-bending blends charged with intensity and release.

He has shared stages with artists from Phase Fatale to Rebekah, played NYC underground institutions like Unter and The Bunker, as well as Berlin's Staub, Pornceptual, Gegen, RSO, ://about blank and most recently Berghain.

Founder of Dominion and later the residency party ALTÆR at Basement, Auspex has created intentional spaces for discovery, reflection and queer community on the dance floor. Beyond DJing, his classical background informs his productions, with releases on Soma, Diffuse Reality, Mäinmise, Oath and more, alongside his own new imprint, Templum.

This episode continues VARIA's mission: championing considered electronic expression and lasting artistry.

Back on August 30th, the Motion Room at Fuse became a canvas for AgainstMe’s storytelling. Characterized by physical intensity, the set moved through hypnotic ambiance, a dub focus with patient tension, and saturated textures. He played the tone right for that night, with a selection paving the way perfectly for Psyk and Orbe, who carried the narrative forward in their own voices. In retrospect, the moment will stand as a reference point for deep journeys ahead. Beyond metrics, beyond measure, capturing what this kind of sound truly brings to the dancefloor.
