There’s a lot of relational brokenness in our society, which this song speaks to beatutifully. It has a nice “arc” from the beginning to the end of the song too, with things feeling well “in place”. The open spaces allow for some introspection too - about how I’ve caused and participated in relational brokenness too. It makes me consider carefully how sensitive we really are as people, and how the saying “sticks and stones can break my bones, but words can never hurt me” is a total load of BS. Words matter, they stick, and have a powerful influence even if they are lies. May you continue to find and listen to truth about you and the world!
