The omnipresent sound of my flat is the fridge. While the noise of the street and the trains passing by appear periodically the fridge-drone is an acoustic odour spreading across the space all the time. Only by its non-existence I realize its existence.

Zooming into organic structures. Visually, acoustically. 
The sound and choreographic work is a play with the scale of organic elements and about abstraction by extreme closeness. All the sounds derive from recordings of a saxophone played in atypical ways. The movement of the sound correspond to the movement of the bodies in the choreography of the piece 'Nocturne for skin without body' with Anna van Eck, Myrte Bokelmann, Salim Javaid and Nathalie Brum.

Was hört man, wenn man mitten in Nord-Düren steht? 14 junge Menschen haben unter Anleitung eines Teams aus Künstler:innen und Lehrer:innen akustische und visuelle Eindrücke im Norden Dürens gesammelt. Die Sammlung wurde als außerschulische Projektwoche im Leopold Hoesch Museum betrachtet, sortiert und weiterverarbeitet.

12 Monate hat das Jahr, 7 Tage eine Woche, 24 Stunden ein Tag. Das Wochenende findet samstags und sonntags statt. Die Gesellschaft hat sich auf einen Rhythmus geeinigt, der nicht für Schichtarbeiter gilt. Ihr Rhythmus ordnet sich dem ewigen Dreiklang Frühschicht, Spätschicht und Nachtschicht unter, damit die Produktion ununterbrochen weiterlaufen kann.

Nathalie Brum (born 1988 in Katowice in Poland) is a sound artist and architect living and working in Cologne. Her main interest lies in underlying and overseen infrastructures and its soundscape. Her fieldrecordings of background noise and technical sounds are the basis of her sound transformations. The installations strongly connected to the space of its origin translocate sounds from hidden places to the public.
