We are extremely excited to present you with a brand new remixed version of Beckers&#8217; smash hit &#8220;Switch&#8221;! The original was released back in 2005 on Sprout and has been one of the biggest success stories for the label so far.

Beckers&#8217; (part of D-Nox &amp; Beckers) &#8220;2014 Remix&#8221; comes in the form of a very sleek, almost floating construct of some naughty, electric vocals and a lush groove. Forward moving and with just the right amount of energy to make this version work throughout the summer. The smooth acid-like sounds are the icing on this very tasty cake.

Velkro&#8217;s interpretation is a funky one. Adding old school, Detroit inspired chords to provide a bit of an uplifting vibe it. He keeps it simple, while only adding some effect trickery to the vocal parts. The big bassline, that provides the backbone of the mix reminds us of the good old garage days.

Flow &amp; Zeo Carioca are closing of the EP with an atmospheric, broken beat version. The mix teases with some rock guitar influences and builds within reverb and delay patterns.

Lee Foss’ Repopulate Mars imprint’s next release sees Justin Jay pair up with vocalist Josh Taylor for two infectious house numbers with a collaborative remix from Lee Curtiss and Alex Nazar.

Los Angeles producer Justin Jay has quickly earned his stripes as a reputable producer, with support from the likes of Claude VonStroke, Jamie Jones, Disclosure, Tiga and George Fitzgerald, not to mention being branded as one of Pete Tong’s ‘Future Stars’ – accolades made even more impressive by the fact he’s still in his early twenties. 

Following a string of ‘Justin Jay & Friends’ releases on Black Butter, Freerange and Soul Clap Records, Jay’s next project sees Josh Taylor on vocals and Benny Bridges on the guitar.

“The project came together during my last semester of college. I'd been friends with Josh and Ben since the beginning of school, but with very different tastes in music, it took us awhile to realize we could jam together too. As we made music together I wanted two things: to push myself outside of my comfort area so that I could learn and grow as a musician, and to have fun making music with my friends.” – Justin Jay.

Sturdy kicks and echoing drones lead the way in ‘Make You Mine’ to generate a ominous aesthetic combined with Taylor’s poignant vocals. ‘Climbing Trees’ then raises the energy as a sultry low-end, mesmerizing atmospherics and infectious guitar licks do their work. 

Concluding matters, Visionquest’s Lee Curtiss and Alex Nazar’s remix of ‘Make You Mine’ boosts the tempo of the original, incorporating a heady bassline and trippy synths.

After turning in several excellent EPs on the imprint over the last two years — including DJ Mag favourite 'Persistence of Vision' — the prolific producer and DJ is back with his latest cut, 'Chain Reaction'.We love it so much we're premiering it right here, right now!

On the new release, Rodriguez Jr.  told DJ Mag, "'Chain Reaction' is a track I've been playing in my live sets for a while now - it's actually quite an old track which has been evolving, month after month, to its current form. The core element is the bassline (from the MOOG Voyager…), which I have layered with deeper pads and other effects in order to get more depth of field."
