FA002 - Frie Arealer gives you the debut release from Jonathan4U! The Oslo based DJ/producer delivers an eclectic mix of a dubby driver, trancy bangers and a beautiful synthy, breaky ender. With this EP Jonathan4U showcases his love for both the 90s sound and modern dance music. The opener shows off his roots in Bergen, Norway with a voice sample in the characteristic Bergen accent. The second track, Springbrett is a fast paced energizer, while the third track, featured as a premiere, is a trancy anthem perfect for peak times! The ender of the EP called Rødt lys translates to red light and perfectly encompasses late Norwegian summer nights.
Frie Arealer is an Oslo-based label and event collective attempting to highlight the importance of spaces in the city with no specific purpose. Frie Arealer translates to free areas which in our opinion are important for citizens to be able to resonate with and shape their city. Frie Arealer will create events in these spaces as well as release music from local producers/DJs. With FA002, and all forthcoming releases, we hope to capture the creativity and collectivity that these spaces facilitate.
The EP will be available for streaming and purchasing on August 2nd on SoundCloud and Bandcamp.
