I wrote this song during summer 2016. I was hiking at a local prairie often enough that a song seemed inevitable.

The Prairie

I wrote this song Over 10 years ago. I was just imagining being in an epic drought and then wrote a "rain song", instead of a rain dance.

Rainfall

-Hello. My musical life started through singing at church, like it does for many of us. I then learned to play Tuba and did that into my 20s. I got to do choir in High School as well. I started learning the guitar in my 20's and have played ever since. Along the way I also learned ukulele. 
-Here on Sound cloud I am focusing on my original music for now. 
-My original music is often nature themed or positive message. I have written some love songs, some sad songs, but mostly nature songs.
-I have been writing songs for over 10 years and have a lot of material ready to go. Some of the songs I sat down and wrote pretty quickly. Some of the songs I wrote when I was younger and have re-written since. I wrote the positive message songs for inspiration during some sad/low times. Writing music really helped. 
-This is a first collection of original song demos that I recorded all on one day(except for a few older, lower quality recordings). 
-I enjoy performing music but would also be happy behind the scenes as a songwriter or recording artist. If you like one of my songs and are interested in covering it, feel free to message me.
-When I play music events I play cover songs as well as some of my originals. 
-The cover songs I do range from Gillian Welch to Kimya Dawson to iron and  wine.
-I have played at farmers markets, charity events, church services, small music venues, coffee shops. 
-Another music goal is to learn more older(pre-1960ish) songs and more roots music and always more Gillian Welch songs.
