Hey there. In this musical sampler, you'll hear plenty examples of the various styles of music I can compose as well as produce. Everything from peppy, upbeat and light orchestral to sweeping, epic sagas with choirs on top of loud brass, to hot jazz or electronic fused with 60's and jazz. There's also nuanced underscore for projects that need a bit more musical space. I even have chirping birds with my Low Fi sampler. :P  

All of the stuff here is composed by and produced solely by me with the exception to: 

Casual, Puzzler, Comical, Covers, Quirky Sampler - From 2:18, this sampler shows off the music I did for Wolf Toss which has some original music I did as well as several arrangements of classical pieces that are public domain. Have you ever heard the Sugar Plum Fairies done on KAZOO?!?! Well you can in this track!

Low Fi, Hip Hop, Jazz, Remix, Narration Clips Sampler - That is comprised of music I've done for SkateBIRD and that soundtrack is drawing from original stuff I've done as well as various royalty free samples and loops that I'm using, editing and tweaking to make work within my original compositions. Much like a DJ would sample records and change them around.

2021 Music Sampler - Solo Piano Montage - Peaceful, Ambient, Relaxing, Meditative

This is the official soundtrack for SkateBIRD, developed and published by Glass Bottom Games. When Megan Fox, the lead designer and studio owner, approached me about a new prototype idea she had of a skateboarding bird I was MORE than intrigued.

Like many, I played plenty of skateboarding themed video games in the 2000's and enjoyed them a ton. Skateboarding games are often edgy, with hard hitting or aggressive soundtracks to boot. SkateBIRD is just the opposite of this. We wanted a game that focused on creating a chill, fun vibe that allowed the players to experiment, try over and over and explore.

The game is full of hilarious, quirky moments and the first time I saw the bird flap its wings while soaring on a skateboard... I was hooked. Combine this with the fact that you can customize your birb's appearance - well - this game was turning into something special. On top of all of this, the settings of a bedroom, kitchen (complete with greasy, left over pizza box) and other locales were interesting, unique and added a whole new level of immersion. This game was gonna be special.

Playboy Midsummer Night's Dream is the featured jackpot slot currently on Jackpot Party Casino, developed and published by SciPlay! Here's a collage of the Main and Bonus Round themes.

For this theme, I didn't want to go with the traditional orchestral fantasy musical treatment. So instead I created an electronic track that has elements of classical infused with EDM and even some distorted guitars. I think the overall effect works pretty well and hope you agree! In this sampler you'll find various tracks that are a bit more low key than some of my more epic stuff. While some of these still move along at a decent clip, the overall vibe and structure of the pieces is a bit more ambient or peaceful. Sometimes writing really good ambient music is quite challenging. You don't want to do too much to distract the listener (in the case of a film scene or more laid back game) but you still want it to be engaging. Definitely can be a tricky balance!

2021 Music Sampler - Orchestra & Choir, Epic, Dramatic, Sweeping

This is my Ethnic inspired sampler that covers Asian, Egyptian, Irish and Polynesian cultures. The reason why I say "inspired" is because I'm full aware that my music isn't fully authentic to the wonderful traditions of these various cultures. This is my take on it and, of course, much of this music was written for various games so it had to match the needs and goals of those products as well. In some cases it's even a fusion of driving drums, bass and synths combined with more traditional instruments and motifs. I hope you enjoy!

2021 Music Sampler - Ethnic, Asian, Irish, Egyptian, Polynesian, Energetic, Moving, Hybrid

This sampler covers a lot of the jazz and funk hybrid tracks I've done in the past as well as some of the more traditional jazz genres/ensembles. Being a pianist and saxophonist, I LOVE this music and really enjoy when I get to compose and produce in this style. You'll find lots of brass, walking bass lines, swung drums and comping piano. 2021 Music Sampler - Jazz, Funk, Pop, 60s, 70s, Fusion, Energetic, Driving, Fun

In this sampler you'll hear a decent chunk of the music I've been creating for SkateBIRD - a game being released by Glass Bottom Games. Unlike the rest of my samplers (and all of my other work in general), the soundtrack for SkateBIRD is combination of original sounds and music that I've done fused together with other royalty free loops, samples and other elements. I've created my own samples, own loops, hired some live musicians to join me and have been tweaking everything to make it fit the unique space and mosaic that makes SkateBIRD what it is. It's a new process for me and I hope you enjoy the results.

2021 Music Sampler - Low Fi, Hip Hop, Funky, Remix, Narration Clips

Sometimes less is more. Not every project or scene needs everything and the kitchen sink to support it. Many situations need breathing room. Having too much in the music can often be distracting and harmful to the experience! This is especially true in some drama or comedic settings! 

But that doesn't mean a more "simple" cue can't be evocative or dynamic. 

So if you're looking for more simplified, nuanced cues, this sampler is for you! This showcases what I can do for you in those kinds of situations where more restraint is better for the narrative.
